CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Reporting to the Director of the Media and Digital Film Production Program, the Senior College Laboratory Technician provides technical and instructional support for the television studio, edit lab, and classrooms.
Supervise lab/TV studio staff including college assistants, work study students, and others; assign tasks within the academic setting.
Maintain and update video editing workstations and Mac Lab for department.
Maintain equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment problems.
Assist faculty and students on how to operate cameras, lighting console, intercom, teleprompter, video switcher, audio console, video playback and recorder systems.
Demonstrate single camera production, multi camera production, and video post-production software such as Avid Media Composer, ProTools, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
Maintain digital student ePortfolios and update archives of student projects.
Monitor and assist students using TV studio for ePortfolio assessments, field, audio and drone equipment.
Troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
Manage equipment sign out: cameras, lenses, tripods, media, LED and tungsten lighting kits, lighting mounts, audio recorders, and microphones.
Manage inventory; research emerging technology; obtain vendor quotes; and arrange for specialized maintenance and repairs if necessary.
Perform video edits for faculty and students as required.
Set up remote multi-camera productions for student instructional activities.
Schedule TV Studio and Edit Lab usage for tutoring, workshops, etc.
Operate 3DR Solo and DJI Mavic Pro; perform drone navigation repair.
Evening/Weekend hours may be required.
High School Diploma with a minimum of eight years' related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate's degree may be substituted for two years' experience and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years' experience. This position also requires the ability to direct, train, and supervise others.

The Instrumentation Division has an opening for a Vacuum/Process Technician to work on Thin Film Photocathode Growth for accelerator and detector applications. The successful applicant will, with general technical direction, design and assemble custom Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) systems for growth of photocathodes, operate these systems to produce photocathodes for RHIC operation, and perform quality testing of the fabricated films. Vacuum design will include both specification of appropriate available commercial systems and design of custom parts, including the use of computer aided design (CAD) software. The position may require occasional work of off-hours/shifts to meet accelerator requirements. Experience with vacuum deposition is a plus, but we will train an otherwise qualified vacuum or mechanical technician.
The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate technical level dependent upon depth and breadth of relevant knowledge and skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with scientists and other technical staff to produce photocathodes on a schedule to meet RHIC operational needs
Maintain and operate a set of complex vacuum deposition tools
Draw systems with CAD tools
Work with division staff to meet the BNL laboratory needs

Use multimeter to measure DC ohms and profilometer to measure thickness of screened material as required

Use microscope to visually inspect work for acceptance
Evaluate self-work to ensure compliance with work instructions, SOP's and time standards.
Verifies that completed product meets documented specifications by signing traveler

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of assigned equipment in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Medical Laboratory Technician - Clinical Laboratory Services
Providence is calling a Medical Laboratory Technician (Per Diem, Variable shifts) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a laboratorian to perform the essential laboratory testing that is critical to the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
In this position you will:
Plan, perform and evaluate routine and complex laboratory tests in your assigned department(s), which could include: hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and/or immunohematology (blood bank).
Responsible for planning, performing, and evaluating laboratory testing analysis and quality control.
Maintain communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations. Operate instruments and perform maintenance function checks and trouble-shoot.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree in related health science or graduate from an approved MLT program
Completion of or eligible for a MLT, CLA or HEWcertification exam
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in medical laboratory in a medium to high complexity laboratory
