Position Summary and Responsibilities
The technician is responsible for the tuning and testing of RF and microwave lumped element and cavity filters as well as filter based sub-assembly products operating in the 10 MHz to 40GHz frequency range. The technician is responsible for both the performance of the product and the completion of all documentation to comply with the Teledyne Quality system.
The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working on RF/microwave products for military and aerospace applications. Direct, hands-on experience tuning and testing filters (e.g. lumped element, combline, interdigital, multiplexers and switched filter banks) is needed.
Candidate will be familiar with all common microwave test equipment and be capable of performing measurements including, but not limited to, Insertion Loss, Return Loss, Band rejection, two tone measurements, phase noise. Most of the work is performed under a microscope using special handmade tools and probes. Good hand and eye coordination is critical.
AA degree, equivalent military training, or equivalent is required. The technician must have good communication skills and be able to follow written processes and procedures. U.S. citizen and able to obtain secret level clearance.
