Visionworks currently has an opening for a top notch individual to work as a Final Inspector on our Manufacturing Team. A Final Inspector ensures that all outgoing jobs have been correctly processed and meet all industry and company standards for optics and cosmetics, utilizing automated and manual processes as appropriate. Jobs not meeting standards are documented on reprocessing form and forwarded to the appropriate section for disposition.
Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prioritize tray processing flow as dictated by tray color and daily work ticket color.
Verify that all areas outlined on the work ticket checklist are within standards for uncut and finished eyewear, with or without AR coating
Properly identify errors creating breakage rejects at the final inspection station.
Maintain production standards as assigned by management.
Ability to communicate and escalate with peers and principles.
Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
Scan and wrap uncut jobs to be sent to stores. Place lenses into appropriate trays for jobs that are to be forwarded to the Finish section for further processing.
Once finished eyewear is determined to meet all standards, scan, wrap and place into bins for shipment to store.
Enter production data on production boards and perform section start and end counts as required.
Qualified Candidates will possess the following:
Three (3) plus years of related experience
One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize
ABO certifications preferred
ASQ certification preferred
Microsoft Excel and Word experience

The Landing System division of UTC Aerospace has an opportunity for a Final Inspector II for 1st shift. . The selected individual will ensure that the quality of UTC suppliers, products and process are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving. The Final Inspector will use predetermined methods, operation, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect arriving, in process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements. You will need to use variety of measuring devices, testing equipment's, and statistical control process. Perform in- process, final bench and product feature inspections. Inspects actual products on the floor and online. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and conformity inspections.
This position is for a Final Inspector who works under supervision. This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of major and minor components.
Perform inspection of landing gear assemblies
Perform final acceptance of overhaul documentation to ensure compliance with approved technical data (including return to service.)
Files documents and maintain quality assurance record systems as required
Coordinate with Engineering/Survey and Repair to determine compliance and rework process to return component to airworthiness status
Basic skills in the use of measuring instruments
Knowledge of measuring instruments used to check O.D. and I.D. dimensions
Interpret and work from blueprints, overhaul manuals, customer specification, purchase orders, certification, written and verbal instructions
Basic computer Skills
3rd. Shift (9:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.)
SKILLS REQUIRED: Requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and correspondence. Must be able to maintain score of 90% or better on grade rules test. Employee is required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
JOB DUTIES: Retrieves empty carton from carton rack.
Examines flooring on moving belt for defects such as knots, stains, decay, splits, faulty edges, pitch pockets, wormholes, and defective milling. Positions lumber to indicate grade and further processing instructions. Determines cuts to be made to obtain highest marketable value from material.
Removes unsatisfactory pieces from conveyor or table and places pieces on stacks, in bins, or on carts. Places boards in cartons according to manufacturer's specifications, ensuring desired footage for each carton. Places inspection identification marking on full cartons and pushes carton onto conveyor belt for strapping. Other duties as assigned.
Preference given to applicants with experience and/or consistent work history.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all types of visual inspection related to printed circuit boards using magnification equipment
Segregate and identify circuit boards with flaws
Inspect each board and identify the errors causing the defects
Perform minor rework/repairs to identified defects
Perform final count of acceptable and rejected boards
Compare shop traveler quantity to final count and notify supervisor in cases of discrepancy
Complete reject report, sign traveler and input data into final log
Obtain final report package and move to the shipping department
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Maintain a safe, neat and orderly workplace
Essential Knowledge and
Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
Understand basic arithmetic in reference to instructions where interpretations are required
Limited use in understanding prints and specifications
Ability to visually verify fine detail work
Ability to understand and follow directions regarding inspecting printed circuit boards
Moderate physical lifting or moving of final finished circuit boards (approx. 5-10 lbs)
Education and Experience:
Minimum of one year experience inspecting printed circuit boards

Aircraft Component Final Inspector
Performssub assembly/final assembly inspection for workmanship, fit, alignment andconformance with applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards andrelevant technical data
Experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical technicians and customers alike.
Witnesses processes and performs shakedown inspections of completed sub-assemblies/final assemblies or major components.
Checks the work instruction for the next job or in process inspection and obtains applicable drawings, specifications and any other necessary documents.
Reviews work instructions for completeness.
Performs in-process inspections and audits repair and overhaul processes (e.g., hole check, torque, seal squeeze out, cold work, electrical bonding and finishes) as required.
Reviews the completed job and inspects workmanship, dimensions and locations (e.g., hole size and fasteners) and ensure all parts/assemblies have been installed per the current drawings, specifications and technical data.
