We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Final Inspector. The QA Final Inspector is responsible for inspecting and ensuring incoming product from final processing houses is compliant to quality standards as they relate to customer drawings, specifications, and other customer requirements prior to being accepted. In all actions, supports LMI's Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and other LMI policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability, and respect for people.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives job from all outside processors and verifies that all certification paperwork is correct for all aspects required (i.e. correct process was performed, paint thickness is acceptable per customer requirements, temper verification by processor proves acceptable, etc.).
Performs first article, in-process and final inspection functions.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings to verify that parts are identified properly.
Be familiar with customer's part making and packaging requirements.
Identifies and documents product nonconformances.
Maintains quality documentation in accordance with OMS and AS9100.
Supports and assists with corrective and preventive actions.
Performs part markings and packaging of in-process and finished components per customer requirements as needed.
Performs system and product audits within the work center.
Serves as main focal for questions from team members and answer questions from others regarding interpretations of LMI/customer requirements and how they apply.
Works side by side with team members as a functioning team member.
Involved in hands-on or OJT training for the team.
Supports Supervisor in achieving short and long term vision and goals.
Assists Supervisor in all facets of managing and supporting the team.
Understands all aspects of the LMI paperwork flow as it affects shipping.
Achieves and acts in the role as "delegated authority" in shipping area, supporting LMI's quality system.
Performs duties in an accurate and timely manner with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
2-5 years of directly related experience..
Experience reading and understanding aerospace drawings, blueprints, and specifications for sheet metal and assembly parts.
Highly detail oriented with a strong background in Aerospace manufacturing and quality assurance.
Experience in final inspecting, first article inspections, and completing quality documentation.
Demonstrated decision-making ability utilizing good judgement in determining the appropriate guideline, procedure, and application to utilize in solving problems.
Thorough understanding of process flows, lead times and lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
Possesses working knowledge of and functional experience in the use of hand measuring devices/instruments (e.g. calipers, Ohm-meter, Micrometer, etc.).
Possesses computer skills including AS400, familiar with the Microsoft Suite, internet and customer portals.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds

Shipping Final Inspector
Warehouse Checker needed in Distribution Center, will report to a manager or team leader and are primarily responsible for receiving, sorting, and verifying outbound inventory matches to ensure load is accurate. This is a 2nd shift position.
- Ensure shipment accuracy by physically counting
- Visually inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Enter inventory data in handheld and maintain all required records
- Count all product, compared to manifest, and check product for damage
- Ensure quality meets requirements, place label on shipments
- Maintain a clean, tidy and arranged work area, for a safe work environment
- Create report and record data for all shortages, damages, and miss shipments on proper forms
- The order checker/auditor will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of selected orders that are picked and packaged
- The checker will verify that all product is picked and packed correctly according to the order
- The checker may have to take apart, modify or rebuild pallets
- The checker must be detail oriented
- This individual may be asked to complete other duties as assigned around the warehouse

Visually inspects units for paint and construction flaws and confirms that each component is securely placed in the unit, such as handles, lids, doors, wiring, connections, clamps and other parts properly installed, properly aligned and correct color, style. Assures all paperwork, including the manual and diagrams are attached to the unit and are accurate. Verifies accessories with orders, and checks packaging of these accessories to assure safe delivery. Coordinates final shipments with crating coordinator and notifies production coordinator of units ready for shipment. Enters all shipments in computer and verifies accuracy.
Matches the product order with the available stock units. Verifies changes on orders with sales prior to shipment. Types all data plates and affixes to unit, assuring proper voltage and charge are included as well as UL and C.S.A. tag.
Orders materials from stock room and sales to enable production employees to finish products.
Works with engineering, production and sales as required.
Cleans and packs final product using approved chemicals, Refers to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to insure safe handling and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used around chemicals.

The Final Inspector will inspect printed circuit boards (PCB) for flaws that may have been manufactured into the product during processing using magnifying equipment and a back light.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all types of visual inspection related to printed circuit boards using magnification equipment
Segregate and identify circuit boards with flaws
Inspect each board and identify the errors causing the defects
Perform minor rework/repairs to identified defects
Perform final count of acceptable and rejected boards
Compare shop traveler quantity to final count and notify supervisor in cases of discrepancy
Complete reject report, sign traveler.
Complete First Articles and /or AS91002 First article reports.
Obtain final report package and move to the shipping department
