Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of moderately complex parts/product inspection tasks (inspect for defects, errors, variation) and/or evaluates manufacturing processes and procedures following Rockwell Collins Quality Management and/or assisting
Communication/Teaming - understands teaming and is working on communication skillsand mentoring Production Operators Systems/Procedures and Workmanship Standards.
Evaluates products, processes, and procedures through the use of schematic diagrams, sketches, drawings, layout, work instructions and quality operating procedures to ensure accuracy.
Required to use measuring devices/inspection tools (micrometers, gauges, scales, calipers, etc.) to verify specifications.
Responsible for assuring that quality and manufacturing procedures are being followed through the use of audit activity. Position also audits products throughout the facility for compliance and records defects to Workmanship Standards.
Maintain complete records of all inspection for department. Review all applicable documentation, test and inspection records for accuracy and completeness
Assists in determining root cause and corrective action activities for process and product improvements.
Inspects and/or repairs electronic assemblies for conformance to prescribed Workmanship Standards, and rejects nonconforming products and accepts conforming products.
May operate optical inspection machine.
May perform final product acceptance (sell process) and/or perform complex repair/rework processes.
Assigns work priorities, sets up work stations, and distributes parts, kits, and supplies to Production Operators.
Mentor new and existing employees
Required to enter time in FIT timekeeping system, charging time to programs being worked and time/attendance

Shipping Final Inspector
Warehouse Checker needed in Distribution Center, will report to a manager or team leader and are primarily responsible for receiving, sorting, and verifying outbound inventory matches to ensure load is accurate. This is a 2nd shift position.
- Ensure shipment accuracy by physically counting
- Visually inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Enter inventory data in handheld and maintain all required records
- Count all product, compared to manifest, and check product for damage
- Ensure quality meets requirements, place label on shipments
- Maintain a clean, tidy and arranged work area, for a safe work environment
- Create report and record data for all shortages, damages, and miss shipments on proper forms
- The order checker/auditor will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of selected orders that are picked and packaged
- The checker will verify that all product is picked and packed correctly according to the order
- The checker may have to take apart, modify or rebuild pallets
- The checker must be detail oriented
- This individual may be asked to complete other duties as assigned around the warehouse

The Inspector position is primarily responsible for inspecting and recording dimensions of aerospace components per process sheets, Inspection reports, Blueprints and applicable specifications utilizing specified gages and methods to ensure the quality requirements are met prior to presenting the final aerospace component to the customers.
Responsibilities:
Review all raw material and processing certifications IAW Customer and PO requirements.
Utilize Material Release database to document quality review/activities.
Visual and dimensional verification (inspection) to requirements utilizing: micrometers, calipers, bore gages, thread gages, and other inspection equipment as required.
Review and acceptance of Travelers to assure all sign-off complete and revision levels are to Operation Book Requirements.
Presentation of inspected/received parts to various customer representatives
Initiation of Discrepancy Reports, internal and external for products not meeting drawing requirements.
Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Leader.
Physical Requirements:

The Final Inspector must be able to interpret results from inspections and communicate these findings effectively and appropriately to production personnel.
The Inspector shall record the number of welded or machined ends inspected and specific non-conformances by categories for daily reporting purposes.
Must be able to accurately read and interpret product drawings to determine acceptance criteria.

Performs inspection of electrical, electro-mechanical and pneumatic components, which also may include (but is not limited to) receiving inspection and induction of subcontracted repairs and door-to-floor hardware.
Performs review of repairs performed in accordance with FAA Approved and FAA Acceptable Data – i.e., Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins, Customer Support Work Instructions (CSWIs), and other appropriate procedures and documents.
Verifies completeness and accuracy of documentation and records utilized to substantiate work performed, including appropriate certification(s) obtained. Also archives and verifies completeness of repair records (scan, verify, archive IAW established procedures.)
Conducts in-process and finished product inspections, including acceptance and rejection of parts and subcomponents as appropriate.
Checks soldering, wiring, component placement and polarity, subassembly placement, connections, etc. in mechanical assemblies relative to the repairs being accomplished.
Checks visual integrity of products.
Escalates product quality problems to supervisor. Segregates and returns non-conforming materials to appropriate person(s) in accordance with Repair Station procedures.
Uses inspection equipment as necessary, such as digital calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and various hand tools to verify parts meet dimensional specs and tolerances.
Follows Repair Station procedures to perform related repair & inspection tasks, as appropriate.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Basic knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principals of operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all types of visual inspection related to printed circuit boards using magnification equipment
Segregate and identify circuit boards with flaws
Inspect each board and identify the errors causing the defects
Perform minor rework/repairs to identified defects
Perform final count of acceptable and rejected boards
Compare shop traveler quantity to final count and notify supervisor in cases of discrepancy
Complete reject report, sign traveler and input data into final log
Obtain final report package and move to the shipping department
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Maintain a safe, neat and orderly workplace
Skills:
Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

This Assembler C will perform frequent grasping motions with their hands, pushing and pulling motions of arms when moving product or when activating assembly equipment and operating tools.
Visual requirements include excellent number and depth perception, reading abilities, eye-hand coordination, and ability to read measurement control devices.
Total awareness of the plant environment as it pertains to safety of other assemblers, machinists; operation of equipment, handling of material and visitors is required. This person may come in contact with all types of plant hazard: mechanical, electrical and chemical. Temperature and humidity conditions of the environment are generally normal.
Utilizes proper personal protective equipment which may include: safety glasses, face mask, ear plugs, gloves and safety shoes/boots.
