Aircraft Component Final Inspector
JOB SUMMARY:
Performssub assembly/final assembly inspection for workmanship, fit, alignment andconformance with applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards andrelevant technical data
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical technicians and customers alike.
Witnesses processes and performs shakedown inspections of completed sub-assemblies/final assemblies or major components.
Checks the work instruction for the next job or in process inspection and obtains applicable drawings, specifications and any other necessary documents.
Reviews work instructions for completeness.
Performs in-process inspections and audits repair and overhaul processes (e.g., hole check, torque, seal squeeze out, cold work, electrical bonding and finishes) as required.
Reviews the completed job and inspects workmanship, dimensions and locations (e.g., hole size and fasteners) and ensure all parts/assemblies have been installed per the current drawings, specifications and technical data.
Notes discrepant condition(s) and location(s) and what the correct configuration of the assembly or component should be, citing drawing, specification, or technical data requirements.
Processes quality records per appropriate Able procedures to maintain accountability, acceptance, and status.
Initiates re-inspection to investigate whether rejectable conditions exist on other components, parts, or assemblies, as required.
X. Works with others as part of a team including giving and receivingfeedback, assisting others in completion of tasks, provides on-the-job-trainingto others.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Requires highschool diploma and the use of drawings, specifications, basic math, andtechnical knowledge.
A&P licenseis preferred.
Minimum 3 yearsrelated experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge of surface treatments, stripping, blasting, machining, grinding, welding, shot peening, heat treatments, blending, bonding and NDT as it relates to component repair & overhaul.
Experience andability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical technicians andcustomers alike.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to make critical decisions and problem solve.

Quality Control Final Inspector
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Perform final inspection of systems and non-systems, and perform inspections in the system configuration.
Verifying System has been built per configuration drawings.
System/Customer orders matches the Configuration Bill of Material.
All test and inspection steps have been performed and documentation has been verified to be complete.
Record all serial numbers and store in appropriate data locations.
Create project folders which consist of all relevant documentation.
Document result of final inspection in current business system.
Verify that component type orders match the customer order information
For component type of orders, verify that all Compliance requirements have been addressed and documented.
Perform Routine maintenance and calibration on Electro-static type of Equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High School Graduate plus at least two years' technical school or the equivalent, with the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. The ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of PC based software (Ex. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of mechanical and electrical inspection of digital or analog assemblies and subassemblies or closely-related equipment. A minimum of two years of experience working with Oracle Project Manufacturing and/or Oracle Quality modules.

Final Inspector
The primary responsibility of the Final Inspector is to inspect all completed service actions from the laboratory for completeness and correctness of all SIMCO documentation, cleanliness and proper labeling of the completed M&TE and to complete the service process by signing the documentation as the SIMCO Quality Representative and properly status all SCP's in SMCS. As needed and as directed by the laboratories Senior Quality Assurance Representative.
Responsibilities and Duties
Acts as a Quality Representative for the laboratory to ensure quality system is interpreted, implemented, and maintained.
Maintains local copies of quality documents to include: Quality Policy Manuals, Quality Policy, SOP and DOP, and approved vendor lists and standard forms ensuring all revisions and additions are inserted and obsolete documents destroyed.
Participates in quality process improvement efforts
Consults with customers in quality and service issues
Coordinates with other SIMCO laboratories in problem resolution
Maintains training records and initiate update process
Prepares quality and productivity reports as required
Determines disposition of nonconforming product
Qualifications
Five or more years of technical experience in calibration laboratory environment
Familiarity with calibration methods and measurement processes
Knowledge of requirements of ISO-9000 and ANSI/ASQ Z-540 and ISO Guide 17025
Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
Must be logical and detail oriented
Must have the ability to investigate and make reasonable conclusions for quality related issues
Knowledgeable in the use of MS Word and Excel
ISO standards and methods of compliance
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance

Job Description
Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

Job Description
Conducts testing required to assure product safety and compliance to specifications, GMP's, and ISO requirements. Works with other Final Inspectors and Manufacturing to complete testing, special projects and other projects as required.
Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1.Performs routine final inspection testing for product release utilizing required instrumentation.
2.Performs daily chart review and approval on production in-process forms and review of final inspection forms. 3. Writes Quality Notifications when applicable.
4.Apply and interpret ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 and other sampling plans.
5.Compiles data and prepares testing reports as required.
6.Operates final inspection equipment that includes; pull force tester, leak tester, OAL gauge, direct weight scale, 10X microscope, and particulate sampling.
7.Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping practices in the area.
8.Disposes of waste in compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
9.Participates in product analysis activities for audit reports, capability studies, Experimental Work Orders and Validations.
10. Able to work accurately with limited supervision. Has a concern for timeliness. Accepts responsibilities and can communicate effectively with supervision, co-workers, and production.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is looking for a Final Assembly Inspector 2 to support the F-35 Delivery Inspection located in Palmdale, CA facility.
Responsibilities include:
Visually and physically inspect aircraft center fuselage structure, system and electrical installations for conformance to engineering requirements using a variety of precision measurement equipment and inspection tools to include micrometers, calipers, ball gages, flashlights, mirrors, ohm meters, laser gauges and depth gages.
Structure inspections include location, gap verification, shim installation, hole drilling, fastener installation, sealing and coatings.
System installations include tube, hose, valve, fastener installation, sealing and coatings common to hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel systems.
Electrical installations include route, clamping, string tie, connector mating, pin insertion, crimping and coatings.
Locate, identify and accurately document nonconforming product/material at time of discovery per applicable procedures.
Visually and physically inspect rework and repair for compliance per engineering requirements.
Mentor technicians on nonconforming product/material discovered during inspection to include engineering requirements, how to identify the nonconformance and process improvement.
Develop, promote, and maintain collaborative team environment with fellow inspectors, support organizations and customers.
Work well as part of a team and individually to increase quality, efficiency, effectiveness and affordability through process improvement and other quality control methods.
Must be able to pass formal classroom training to include but not limited to hole drilling, sealing, countersinking, and fastener installation.

Basic Function:
Final inspection of finished products in accordance with policies, procedures, work instructions, customer requirements, military/government and industry standards.
Significant Responsibilities:
I.Performs specific job responsibilities:
Inspects products for length, breaks and attenuation using OTDR equipment; test based on priority
Ensures product has been manufactured to requirements; identifies defects and problems resulting from the production process
Evaluate data to validate compliance or identify deviations from existing standards
Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete
Complete detailed documentation and reports of all Inspection activities in accordance with OCC policy and Customer specified requirements; including Defective Material / Non-conforming Material notices; Coordinates disposition of affected material
Support implementation of data collection projects thru on-line Syspro system

Working Conditions:
Manufacturing area environment. Will regularly be lifting or moving cable reels up to 50 Lbs. This is a quality position which requires sight sufficient for computer use and significant detail for inspection. This position also requires an individual with hearing sufficient for telephone contact with employees and management as well as relaying messages accurately. There are significant computer input/data entry duties that require sufficient manual dexterity for handling small fiber optic products, tools, and instruments.
