The Roll Tender is responsible to assure set-up and actual jobs meet quality parameters and are completed on time. This position monitors efficiencies and assure jobs and personnel assigned to them are completing assigned work. Roll paper into loading position on automatic splicer, insert shaft of automatic splicer through roll core, secure holding chucks of automatic splicer to shaft ends, and thread paper through press components to prepare press for printing.
Apply adhesive strip to backup roll and insert backup roll onto automatic splicing unit of press to prepare paper for automatic splicing.
Remove roll of leftover paper from press after automatic splicing.
May operate mechanical truck to transport rolls of paper to press area.
May assist with some of the make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates, examining plates, prepping and installing blankets, adjusting tension etc.

Summary: Reporting to the Body Shop Supervisor or Manager, perform limited preparation work to damaged vehicles prior to painting.
Maintain high standards for efficiency and observe all safety requirements. Perform all additional duties assigned by the Body Shop Supervisor or Manager. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws are followed.
Responsibilities and Duties:

About the Position: This position is located with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, Operations Division, Physical Support Branch, Navigation Section, Motor Vessel Dredge Hurley, Memphis, TN 38103. Duty location is wherever the Dredge Hurley is located.
Shift operator on a Diesel tender less than 65 feet in length and up to 850 hp, assigned to dredging operations.
Pilots tender and manipulates pilothouse controls governing the speed and direction of the boat, as required in making and breaking of tows, towing plant and barges in immediate vicinity of projects and performs long distant towing as required.
Towing and/or harbor work is more specifically represented by towing material, Fuel Barge, spare parts, crane barge, moving pontoon lines, setting dredge anchors and otherwise tending the Dredge.
Required to be familiar with waters in which boat operates, observe navigation rules, operate boat in a safe manner.
Performs preventative maintenance during stand by periods. Makes routine operating repairs and assists in making overhauls or major repairs.

Work schedule: During the dredging season, typically May through November, all Hurley crew members, including this position, work a 15 days on

This position works a 12 hour shift, and may rotate between day and night shifts. During the non-dredging season, the crew works day shift only, with the vessel based at Ensley Engineer Yard, Memphis, TN, on either a 5-day 8-hour, or 4-day 10-hr schedule. During the dredging season, the Dredge Hurley will work in widespread locations in the Mississippi River, including 60-90 days in the vicinity of Baton Rouge, LA.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort is required while standing watch and operating the wheel and other controls. Close hand and eye coordination is required when operating controls to maneuver vessel and tows in traffic and in confined areas. Extensive standing and walking may be necessary while standing watch.
Working Conditions: Incumbent works predominately in an enclosed wheelhouse, but is also subject to working out on deck for brief periods in all types of weather conditions.
Employee is exposed to injury from falls due to slippery decks and erratic movements of the vessel, and to the possibility of falling overboard. A life jacket is worn at all times when on deck. Operators are also exposed to a moderate degree of noise and vibration from the engines, and to greater noise levels and to soil from grease and other chemical substances when servicing or making minor mechanical repairs to engines and equipment.

A Day in the Life:
As one of our Tender Truck Drivers, your main responsibility is tendering fertilizer and chemicals for custom applicators. You are an integral part of our company and you will be expected to deliver dry and liquid fertilizer safely and efficiently to local farms. You will also be expected to perform maintenance and upkeep on your vehicles and equipment. You will be expected to have basic knowledge of all chemicals and their abilities as well as soil fertility and recommendations, and load and unload fertilizer, chemicals, and NH3. You will be expected to help with the maintenance and cleaning of location facilities to meet company standards. You must adhere to all company and government safety policies and regulations. During peak seasons, you will be expected to help load and unload grain at our grain facilities when needed. You will be expected to work hard and you will have to work more hours during busy seasons. Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.
Job OverviewUnder general supervision and guidance from Automation Team Leads, Shift Supervisors, and Technicians the Automation Machine Tender supports the operation of the Automation equipment. The machine tender is responsible to start and stop the equipment and tend to routine equipment alarms and faults. The Automation Machine Tender is very aware of safety procedures and strictly adheres to all safety, manufacturing, Quality and Continuous Improvement policies and procedures. The work performed is fast paced requiring movement from station to station for the majority of hours worked. Firm or fine grasping or manipulation with both hands is required. Performs quality assurance analysis during machine operation to prevent defective product from being produced and potentially reach the end user. Supports the Water Spiders daily with ensuring material flow and material traceability remain in control at all time. Main Responsibilities
Start and stop the equipment and tend to routine equipment alarms and faults
Maintain and follow 6S (Workplace Organization Standards).
Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Procedures, and other regulatory requirements at all times.
Work in a fast-paced environment communicating and interacting with automated equipment and other team members during the work period
Produce product that meets quality expectations
General cleaning as needed: Keep equipment clean and free of misc. parts, empty trash, clean work area daily, clean shop equipment, sweep, mop, wipe down area
Perform Water Spider duties and support other water spiders with material handling and work order change overs
Supports the automation technicians to ensure targets for safety, quality and productivity are met or exceeded
Must be a team player with strong communication skills
Works in a team environment with all levels of the organization
Attend daily production meetings and shift hand off meetings to ensure good communication and pass downs
A high level of engagement is expected; this means that Machine Tenders are expected to work on improving themselves by working on training applicable to their position.
Engagement on 7 steps, and improvement events is expected so that the Machine Tender can provide input to implement containment actions and countermeasures to resolve quality, or process issues.
May be asked to perform other tasks as required.
Education- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is requred.
Minimum of six months of related manufacturing experience
Must be able to read, speak, and write English and be able to perform basic math functions
Must be able to carry products weighing 25 to 40 lbs on an occasional basis.
Must be able to work on their feet and be able to twist or turn the body continuously through the day.
Must be able to reach shoulder height continuously.
Job requires repetitive movement of both hands continuously, six to eight hours daily.
