Cased Hole Logging Specialist
Job Function / Purpose
Achieve Proficiency in performing multiple types of wireline services using Gyrodata, Inc. wireline units and supporting downhole survey operations and logging instruments at client jobsites. Achieve proficiency in core advanced Wireline operations, as well as Competence in performing the multiple Wireline Operations requiring Well Pressure controls and logging. "Proficiency" is defined as the ability to successfully perform wireline services without supervision. Plus, works with Wireline Operators to ensure proper rig up and rig down procedures are being followed. This is not a rotational position. Candidates must live in the Midland/West Texas area.
Achieve Proficiency in the following tasks:
Performing wireline services using Gyrodata, Inc. wireline units and supporting downhole survey operations and logging instruments at client jobsites
Experience with wireline operated Caliper, RCBL setting tools, CBL Casing Bond Log, and log interpretation / annotation of these items.
Performing operations at client job sites for any type of entry, including circulating heads, side door sub entry, side entry, modified swivel, high pressure grease control units, pump in sub and pump down equipment
Performing wireline and surveying services required for basic client jobs, including open well jobs, top drive entries
Performing routine wireline equipment performance checks, preventative maintenance of related tools, wireline tool assembly, testing and basic troubleshooting
Performing servicing of all well entry gear and assisting with changing wireline on all units
Operating wireline units, including conveying gyro and steering tools
Checking wireline equipment at client jobsite and assembling tools
Performing rig-up procedures and installations at client jobsites
Performing safe operation of crane and sling loads
Performing pre-job preparation of wireline equipment, wireline units, and surveyor equipment on combined service jobs and ensuring completion of pre-job logistics

Preparing and maintaining documentation for client jobs, including wireline logs and journals, job tickets, daily reporting, end-of-well reports and all applicable administrative paperwork
Performing general shop duties for tools and equipment, including picking up deliveries of parts and equipment and washing wireline units
Performing repair and maintenance of wireline units and prepare wireline units for third party inspections
Performance of data acquisition of cement bond logging tools and [more complex] jobs
Perform under indirect guidance from operations, Competence for accurate evaluations of cement integrity through the use of the CBL tool
Mentor Wireline Operators in all areas, becoming a Role Model on topics
Assist Wireline Operators and Survey Specialists in the field as necessary, particularly for magnetic and pressure control jobs
Maintain safe driving records and comply with all Gyrodata, Inc. certifications per local and client requirements
Submit to and comply with all applicable Gyrodata, Inc. and pre-employment screenings and qualifications, including audiograms, physicals and drug testing

Summary of Position:

You will be part of a dynamic team who ensures compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations. Other duties will include:

Safe, accurate and efficient plumbing of hydraulic schematics for installation into equipment or direct sale to customers
Ensure compliance with the USA and international hydraulic and wiring codes to provide functional and acceptable products to customers in various countries
Travel to customer's locations for assembly/service jobs and work independently to successfully complete the job
Design, build, install, and test hydraulic systems for truck bodies and other plant equipment
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems and make corrections and adjustments as necessary
Operate tools to ensure fit through the process of bending or flaring stainless steel tubes for hydraulic purposes
Interpret engineering drawing, expectations and convert into successful finished products
Accurately account for components used for specific jobs/work orders
Search for, identify, and implement improvement ideas continually
Monitor daily/weekly/monthly work performance through Key Process Indicator graphs
Participate in and contribute to team meetings
Shift to non-hydraulic jobs as necessary ie: electrical, finish support etc.
What We're Looking For
High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) required; Hydraulic assembly and testing certification from an accredited technical or engineering school preferred; two years post High School technical education preferred
Two years of hands-on experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, assembly and testing;
Technical: Requires some computer and mathematical skills; Proficient with use of basic measurement tools such as Digital Multi-Meter (DMM); technical writing skills
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including various pumps, motors, plumbing techniques, valves, fittings, hoses, fluids, and clamps
Experience in basic electrical wiring and control panels preferred
Experience with adhesives and bonding agents
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player
