We are adding a Finishing / Packaging Associate to handle a variety of documents and equipment. This may include but is not limited to Pitney equipment. The position is responsible for separating verifying and hand inserting documents in a safe manner, while focused on quality.

Separates documents by sequence# and hand inserts mail
Lift cartons from pallets, carry cartons to pallets, opens carton, lifts stock out, slices stock if necessary and fans inserted statements.
Responsible for conducting quality checks and ensuring high quality output of product in accordance with process standards and/or guidelines
- Visually inspects all output.
Start and monitors equipment operation
Maintain inventory of consumables and supplies
Read and interpret all job tickets and work instructions
Meet production goals and requirements as related to run rates and waste
Complete all required documentation as it relates to production, quality and equipment maintenance
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2+ years' of experience working as an Operator preferably in a similar setting / capacity preferred.
Must possess the ability to pick up new learning quickly and display a willingness to train and become knowledgeable of the products / equipment operational capabilities.
Must be able to read and interpret instructions and numbers (in English) at level necessary to perform essential functions.
Must demonstrate clear oral and written communications skill and work independently as well as in a team setting.
Must possess basic computer terminal knowledge, keyboard skills.
Good basic math and reading/comprehension skills.
Attention to detail is a must.
Good mechanical aptitude is a definite plus.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8+ hours per day) and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Production Hand Packager / Finisher
Receive finished product from finishing area; monitor quality of finished product in adherence to product standards; advise supervisor of quality problems
Complete documentation process of product to be shipped
Shrink-wrap (as requested), box and label product according to customer specifications; as required, weigh packaged product to insure adherence to carrier weight limitations
Transport boxed product to assigned area
Complete required carrier paperwork and, as necessary, contact carrier or transportation company for product pick up
Enter order status in order entry system
Generate custom, computerized UPS or express tracking labels/invoices for overseas shipments
Maintain computerized blanket order label inventory and, as indicated, release product for packaging and shipment to customer
Maintain and organize working area and packing supplies
Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness of work area
Perform other related duties as assigned
Ability to provide proof of High School Diploma or GED
One year prior experience demonstrating attention to detail and math skills
Good verbal communication skills are necessary for communicating with press operators, coworkers and carriers concerning shipping requirements

Concrete Finisher - Drainage Operations
Under general supervision, is responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, inlets, retaining walls or curbs to specified textures using hand tools or power tools. May exercise functional supervision over assigned staff.
WORK LOCATION: Southwest Service Center, 6927 W. Commerce
Essential Job Functions
Directs the pouring of ready-mix concrete and the operation of automatic curb machine.
Hand finishes fresh concrete and plasters and repairs of old concrete.
Repairs old concrete structures using concrete bonding chemicals.
Prepares concrete mixtures for use in automatic curb machine.
Works from blue prints, sketches, or oral and written instructions.
Prepare estimates of project time and materials.
Assists in the building of concrete forms.
Assists in the training of crew members and helpers in the use and operation of equipment.
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).
Three (3) years of experience as a journeyman concrete finisher or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in the concrete trade.
Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.
Experience in concrete finishing.
Experience building and laying concrete project forms.
Ability to read construction plans, blue prints and drawings.
Experience estimating project costs.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
Under the direction of the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Parts Finisher performs routine finishing operations in sanding, polishing, and deburring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform deburr operation, threadserts, and edgebreaks.
Perform designated part verifications, fill out inspection reports and advise QAM of any issues.
Place finished parts in designated areas with safe handling of material and parts.
Candidate will also possess the ability to learn and follow ISO9000 procedures.
Operate forklift truck to load, unload and move materials. (License required.)
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING REQUIRED: Requires the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, a respirator, hearing protection and protective clothing such as a uniform or lab coat. Other, more specialized protective gear may be required occasionally.
