Supervise Tool Assemblers to ensure products are handled safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

The Crouse-Hinds division of Eaton, in Roanoke, is looking for an outstanding leader to join the team in the position of Assembly Supervisor!
This position is responsible for supervising assembly associates in accordance with site policies and procedures, ensuring smooth operations during the shift, coordinating staffing, and execution towards departmental and site-wide goals.
The position is a key leadership role within the Assembly Operation and is responsible for approximately 45 employees. The role is idea for a motivated self-starter who has a focus on continuous improvement and someone who is looking to take on larger roles in the future. This role will get complete exposure to the business as it is fully integrated within the Operations team. This role is also housed in the central Distribution Center for all of Eaton Crouse-Hinds, and therefore will have the unique experience of being able to gain exposure to different products and parts of the business as well.
This role works with a wide range of people in varying roles across the organization, including hourly associates, site leadership, personnel at other Eaton facilities and outside suppliers. The position is responsible for coordination of the daily operational activities of the business unit. These duties are performed personally and through subordinates to ensure established business goals are met.
Supervise the activities of the assembly associates to assure that efficiencies are maximized and performance targets, both productivity related and customer service related, are achieved. Provide counseling as needed to improve performance, following established facility procedures.

ABOUT THE FACILITY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to work at our 80-person facility in the scenic city of Chattanooga, TN. The facility manufactures Sherman Reilly products, but is part of the utility segment. The utility segment supports three leading brands – Sherman Reilly, HD Electric Company and Greenlee. Together these brands provide industry-leading solutions to meet the needs of the electric utility market at every stage of the power supply process.
