Position Description: • Under limited supervision, performs a variety of moderately complex electronic tasks following Industry and standards for electronic soldering (SMT & thru-hole), mechanical assembly, and optics handling/cleaning. May be asked to fill in for more senior members of the work area as needed.
May work a variety of assembly stations. • Following/reading blueprints, wiring schematics, written work instructions and verbal instructions assembles electronic subassemblies, top assemblies, and complete assemblies. Job Title:* Door Assembler
The candidate will be responsible for packing or crating and loading finished custom orders for shipping. They will use a variety of tools, saws, air nail guns, forklifts, and cranes. It is the Pack, Load, Crate department's responsibility to ensure all signs are shipped with the proper materials to reduce the risk of damage. Duties and Expectations:
Miscellaneous duties such as: cutting wood shapes, making crates, banding product to skids, shrink wrapping signs, cleaning signs, label signs according to procedure, packaging, and loading a variety of sign types
Quality control of all items shipping or installing
Assemble signs, plastic into rigid sign cabinets, pop riveting on face trim onto the cabinet and paint touch up
Check patterns to make sure all power/mounting holes and letter size is right
Verify and send all mounting hardware to mount signs to walls or beams
Make sure all colors of touch up paint are sent with the sign for Jones Sign Installers
Take photos per photo procedure
Fill out department QC sheet
Make detail packing list with all items that are being shipped
Make sure all jobs have install instructions and receiving procedures
Inspect the trailers that the signs are being shipped on, such as lights, tires, etc.
Any other work assigned by the PLC Manager
All inventoried material used per job must be recorded to the proper job
Assigned Assembly cell is to be kept clean, neat and orderly at all times

Overview At Aerojet Rocketdyne, our people further the exploration of space! We develop and manufacture rocket engines in Redmond, Washington that are used on satellites, space probes and other spacecraft.
We are currently seeking an entry-level Assembler with the ability to perform precision mechanical assembly, as well as other assembly-related duties. This is a second shift position that typically works Mondays-Thursdays, work week hours are 12pm-10:30pm, but candidates must have the ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as needed to meet production schedules. Note: Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each) 45% - Perform assembly duties:
Set up and operate high pressure pneumatic systems. Perform proof and leak tests, spot welding, soldering, electrical fabrication and potting. Apply adhesive bonding and mechanical fastener torqueing.
Part marking, handling and packaging. Maintain and support clean work stations. Duties may be performed in a controlled cleanroom environment. 45% - Provide support to the Assembly area:
Work with area personnel and the calibration lab to schedule the periodic calibration of assembly area equipment and tools. Deliver tools and equipment to the calibration lab as required by schedule. Monitor calibration completion and return of equipment/tools to the production area.
Conduct weekly inventory of floor stocked materials and supplies. Issue purchase requests and facilitate ordering of materials to assure an adequate supply that meets production needs. Coordinate movement of parts/assemblies within the Assembly areas, Test Facilities, and Shipping/Receiving departments.
Update supervisors with status on above items. Perform expediting duties between the Assembly area and various company departments as required on a daily basis by area supervision. 10% - Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Requires a high school diploma (or equivalence) and 1 year of related experience. Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures needed.
Requires the ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary. Must be able to be trained and become certified in cleanroom access within the first 3 months of employment. Must have the ability and willingness to work in a cleanroom/confined area for extended periods and to abide by clean room procedures (for example, makeup, fingernail polish, large jewelry are prohibited; must wear clean room garments including hair and beard covers at all times, etc).
