A Cabinet Maker installs, repairs and fabricates architectural woodwork such as that relating to windows, doors, and floors and basic wooden Furnishings, and determines tools and materials required for each job. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Work requires a high school level of educational development and four years of previous experience.
Maryland Class C Driver's License required.
Certification as a Journeyman Carpenter required.
Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.

Cabinet Maker is responsible for building and maintaining all cabinets, furniture and related equipment throughout the Facility under the direction of the Cabinet Shop Supervisor and/or assigned Cabinet Maker II. Provides support with minimal instruction or supervision in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort & Casino. Cabinet Maker must be knowledgeable with all woodworking hand tools and equipment associated with a cabinet shop member.
FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.
Responsible for supervising and coordinating staff assigned to the manufacture and repair of Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E)
Uses automated machinery, such as computerized numerical control (CNC) machines
Is responsible to know how to set-up, operate, maintain, and tend CNC Router, CNC Bore and Dowel, CNC Edge bander, Case Clamp, and various hand tools including; routers, sanders, screw guns, and wood-nailing machines.
Some duties include: fitting parts together using glue and clamps; reinforcing joints using nails or screws; trimming joints; sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneer, or polish to finished products; repairing or restyling wooden furniture or fixtures; making outlines or dimensions on wood
Builds, maintains, and installs all cabinetry using skills of the trade
Utilizes available resources to accomplish daily tasks
Takes a proactive approach in using Best Practices in the manufacture and repair of assigned projects
Adheres to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations using best practices
Completes assigned projects to accepted standards on time using tools and materials provided
Responsible for the proper maintenance and operation of the equipment and all associated mechanical and electrical systems related to same
Protects the assets of Pechanga Resort & Casino and maintains confidentiality and integrity when working within the resort and casino
Performs other work related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: One year certificate from college or technical school is required; Three years of experience with Cabinet Shop equipment and associated systems, and must be able to read blue prints; or equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization is required as well.

Pack and dispatch plates to correct destination. Record all dispatch details.
Run agreed routine calibration checks.
Ensure optimum performance of equipment and quickly report any equipment breakdowns.
Ensure that all time entries are accurate and up-to-date and all material usage is recorded.
Performs assigned tasks within the overall Production workflow and assigned budget, according to:
Work order specifications,
Industry and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's),

Tool & Die Maker
The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for building jigs, fixtures, and dies and oversees the machining of all parts through the machining process leading up to assembly and try out of the tool. The Tool and Die Maker is capable of overseeing projects at an advanced level. This position considered a leader in the plant and is responsible for guiding entry and intermediate level Tool and Die Makers. Only the very best Machinists are classified in this role. Will be actively involved in continuous improvement teams within the area to promote safety, quality, throughout and the addition of any new equipment. Plan, layout and perform required bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and constructed tools, dies, fixtures, cavity mold dies, gauges where a high degree of skill and extensive knowledge of plastic mold tooling practice and metal tooling practice application is required. Work from complicated drawings, specifications or concepts. Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements.
Lay out work and plan machining and bench procedures. Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups which may involve improvising of tooling and machines for adaptations beyond the normal range in capacities of available equipment. Sets up and operates a variety of CNC mills, CNC EDM's and related CAD equipment machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work. Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy of assigned work. May include responsibility for training an apprentice Tool and Die Maker or other tool room personnel on a project basis.
Will also operate related CAD/CAM equipment. Analyzes molded parts to determine tool repair and adjustments required with minimum supervision. Responsible for observing safe work habits and cleanliness of work area.
Proceeds under general supervision. Performs other duties as may be requested. Responsible for using standardized inspection methods and SPC as requested.
