Diego California location.
Lays out and fits pipe and/or structural fabrication and repairs in accordance with established drawings and welding procedures.
- Lay out and prepare base metals using air and power tools.
- Able to identify weld joint designs.
- Tack weld all fitted work in preparation for production welding
- Read and properly interpret basic blue prints and drawings.
- Knowledge of gas line safety and fire prevention.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete company Brazing qualification.
- Ability to conduct a hydrostatic test of piping systems.
- Ability to bend various sized pipes and tubing.
- Demonstrate a welding background with 3-5 years of practical experience, preferably within the marine and/or shipyard industry.
- Must understand all shipboard piping configurations
- Must understand navy shipboard compartment numbering and labeling system.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of general hand tools as well as those common to welders/fitters (grinders, die grinders, angle grinders, basic welding machines, etc.)

Service Sprinkler Fitter II
What you will do Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. How you will do it * Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
These include but are not limited to wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pumps.
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding and obtain customer’s signature.
Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned. What we look forRequired * 3-5 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
Able to participate in an on call rotation schedule.
Overnight travel may be required up to 35%.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
Must be a licensed sprinkler fitter for the state of Washington or able to obtain that license within 8 weeks of employment.

Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms.
