Are you looking for a full-time position with a family-friendly company? If so, we have the Line Operator job for you! This is a great opportunity for a Line Operator at a company in Centerville, IA. This is a temp to hire Line Operator position for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Pull bottles from machines (3000 bottles per 8 hour shift) and visually inspect bottles for defects and tear off flash
Observe machine for jamming of bottles, pull buzzer to alert technician of issue
Assembles cardboard cartons and trays using a tape gun (50 assembled per shift) - Sort bottles by bottle and label color (Red are packaged with all red and blue are packaged with all blue) - Place bottles on cardboard cartons and trays and verify the bottles are correct with the job order
Assemble boxes and operate tape machine when on box job
If not trained on a stacking job during training, employee must be instructed once training has been completed
Responsible for operating forklift if certified with client
Flamer job: bottles occasionally catch fire; remove with tongs and place in bucket of water, alert technician- Responsible for following all safety procedures
- Keep work area clean and separate scrap and trash; place in proper bins
- Must be able to stand 50% of your shift and sit 50% of your shift
Must be able to lift/move up to 20lb 95% of time, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally
Must be able to differentiate colors
Previous injection blow molding experience preferred
Must have great hand eye coordination
