Under general supervision, performs routine but varied tasks involved in the handling of finished goods and raw material in the manufacturing of plastic products.
Properly seal, label and stack cartons of finished product.
Palletizes boxes weighting up to 35 lbs., bands/unitizes pallet loads, moves pallets to staging area, operates pallet jack, lift truck, and stretch wrap machine as required and trained.
Assembles cartons as needed
Obtain needed packaging supplies and labels.
Clears robot jams and restarts robot as needed if trained.
Clears jams, within limits, to include bowl flamers
Performs hand and machine packing duties such placing box on stand, and removing filled box from stand.
Monitor quality of product.
Performs some janitorial work, sweep, clean and wipe down machinery, maintains a clean and orderly work area, follows safety rules, and GMP guidelines.
Completes and maintains required logs and records.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have excellent attendance.
Must be able to monitor quality of machine output.
Must have good housekeeping skills.
Capable of lifting (up to 35 pounds).
Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects.
Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must be able to follow all department procedures and directives.
Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
