BACKGROUND: The ECU Flash Programming Project Engineer will be responsible for developing functional requirements and interfaces for programming software, calibrations, and applications into ECUs within GM vehicles. DURATION: 3 months with potential to move to a FT which will be based on performance and attendance.
LOCATION: York, PA 17402-2769 # Essential Duties and
Set-up and operate the Flash Welder complex to heat, form, and weld chain and parts.
Set-up and operate machines used in the operation.
Set heat to obtain binding temperature without overheating, sets forming die and adjusts to form links without distortion, and sets controls to flash weld into links or chain.
Operate equipment by loading bars into heater or dumping pre-formed links into hopper.
Completes cycle to produce chain or individual links.
Makes minor adjustments to maintain quality.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment when required.
Moves material to and from work area.
Adheres to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.
Reports unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Maintains records as required.
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of related work experience. # Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated mechanical ability
Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
