If you are mechanically inclined and like working on machines, this job is for you. We are looking for Envelope Folding Machine Adjusters/Set Up Technicians for 2nd shift (2:30pm
10:30pm, M - F) and 3rd shift (10:30pm
6:30am, Sun PM - Friday AM). You will be responsible for adjusting, troubleshooting, operating and preventative maintenance tasks. This position has a top pay rate of $23.32 plus shift premiums. There is a $.50 raise after the first 90 days and $.35 raises every 90 days afterwards until reaching top rate. In addition, there are merit raises based on performance, attendance bonuses and 401k match. On-the-job training is provided!
POSITION ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Observes all safety rules and regulations.
Examines work order to determine specifications and sample verification.
Supplies proper tooling and components to the folding machines
Sets up folding machine per sample and order jacket specifications with the least amount of downtime.
Seeks appropriate approvals (OK’s) on every job that is manufactured on the equipment.
Troubleshoots operating difficulties including: analyzing machine operations, inspection of products, locating troublesome elements within machines and makes necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.
Inspects product quality according to quality guidelines.
Maintains accurate counts of envelopes to boxes, cartons, and skids.
Adjusts folding machine and packs envelopes uniformly and neatly, also keeping up with the machine speed.
Seeks advice from management when quality is being jeopardized for machine speed.
Replaces gum window roll and roll of paper, as needed.
Checks order throughout course of production to ensure accurate labeling, printing, and packaging of product.
Removes paper jams and performs preventative maintenance when scheduled.
Follows all 5S expectations.
Transports finished goods to appropriate area.
Works as a team with the operator and other adjusters including other shifts.
Performs related work as required.
Position Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements.

The Folder Operator is responsible for the proper set-up and operation of an MBO Folder in accordance with established operating procedures for Yearbook and Commercial printing jobs.
The incumbent runs the equipment making the necessary adjustments and customization of the mechanics on the folder to meet Commercial customer¿s order requirements. Additionally, the operator is responsible for loading units on the Folder, bundle sig¿s correctly and for filling out the bundle cards. Proper machine operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and attention to detail are key components of this position in order to meet productivity and quality standards.
Relocation Assistance is Available High school degree or GED required. MBO Folder operation experience is required.
At least 3 years of Commercial and/or Yearbook Folding experience. Good knowledge of paper and a keen eye for quality. Knowledge of Gate Fold Plate, Wet Score and Tri-Creaser a plus.
Mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability. Good mathematical skills. Good verbal communication skills.
Hand pallet jack experience a plus.
Must be a team player and have the ability to train others. Able to give and follow written and verbal instructions.
Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice. Must be able to properly lift 10 to 50 lbs. to shoulder height. Must be able to stand continuously through 8 or 12 hour shifts.

The Feeder/Folder continuously grasps, sorts and grades clean textiles and then either folds by hand or feeds into an ironer or folding machine for final finishing. Performs other tasks as required.
