How you will Impact WestRock:Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned. Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurement, do basic math, and some computer skills. General mechanical aptitude & trouble shooting skills Inspect machines to ensure they are mechanically ready for operation. Ensure the glue is ready for production.
Work on both ends of the machine performing the loading of WIP packing finished product. Inspect all finished product for any defects. Weight the product for specific count and pack the product in a RSC.
Tape and seal the product, place on the conveyor line. Ensure glue is properly adhered to the product and meets bond test requirements. Accurately and thoroughly fill out daily production records and enter in the computer system.
Maintain full compliance of all GMPs. Maintain housekeeping excellence in accordance with Golden Broom Program. Follow all safety procedures and promote safety & safety programs throughout the facility.
Perform all required customer and departmental quality checks, and make adjustments as needed. Participate and ensure department is compliant with YUM!/AIB audit regulations Ability to perform complete make ready and shut down Understanding of Quality Inspection Criteria Product Identification and Labeling Maintain Waste and Efficiency standards Performs inspections on various equipment for proper operation and report questionable conditions Performs various housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris

Responsibilities As a
Metal Forming Machine Operator, you will:
Applies specialized skills, methods, procedures, and techniques to monitor and operate complex Grabener coin presses, sheet metal rolling mills to press scrap metal and defective coins into sheet metal, upsetting mills, and other production and support machinery associated with the coin manufacturing industry.
Monitor operations on presses, observe instrument panels, listen for deviations in normal rhythm and sounds and take appropriate action to prevent mechanical failure and assure meeting high quality standards for completed coins.
Inspect blanks before insertion into collars; the finished product is visually inspected for common flaws (e.g., cracks, piece out, dirt, lint, press shifts, etc.) and overall appearance.
Identify defective tooling and causes of various defects in quality of coins and potential causes for jamming, overheating, cracked dies collars, improper strikes, loose grippers inserts, broken or bent pins, springs, etc.
Perform routine troubleshooting for readily apparent minor defects to internal mechanisms and feeder flow obstructions and disassemble assembly of feeder mechanisms and other external press components.

MACHINE MECHANIC & REBUILDER -The Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance duties as required with minimum supervision. This role reports to the department supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains and repairs cold forming equipment
Rebuilds cold forming equipment
Verifies proper tolerances and fit prior to final assembly
Fabricates, welds, and machines parts or structures to complete repairs
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical problems
Completes comprehensive reports and records of maintenance repairs
Provides personal hand tool and gauges in a rolling cabinet
Proficiently works with grinders, sanders, metal cutting saws, lathes and drills
Proficient in electric arc welding and oxy-acetylene welding, brazing, soldering and torch cutting
Comply with current governmental and safety regulations REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to dismantle machines to gain access to and remove defective parts using:
Hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
Ability to inspect parts to determine changes in dimensions using:
Rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments
Four years of experience as a mechanic or qualified through an apprenticeship/training program
Comprehends complex math
Has basic electrical experience
Receptive to on-going training
Ability to read blueprints
Forklift certification EOE Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran
