As a Metal Forming Machine Operator, you will:

Perform various hand operations required or associated with the operation of the presses. Transport coin tanks with the use of material handling equipment.

Operation of various computerized and mechanical metal forming equipment for light and medium gauge coiled and flat steel.
Operation of overhead cranes, jib cranes, conveyors, de-coilers, straighteners, shears and stacker equipment.
Bundle orders for shipment assuring accuracy of order, items and move material using forklifts, skids, material moving attachments, labelers, banding equipment. May require the building of wooden crates for packaging materials to assure product quality.
Utilize common hand and power tools along with measuring instruments such as tape, square, protractor and micrometer and perform mathematical calculations based on the readings obtained regarding length, width, angle and radius.
Understanding of 2-Dimensional part drawings used to communicate material and part specifications.
Work from schedules, work orders, prints, job tallies, verbal and/or written instructions to perform duties.
Management of inventory and selection of proper materials and finishes to be used as called out on job orders.

As a Metal Forming Machine Operator Supervisor, you will:
Plan and schedule equipment, manpower, and material requirements on a daily or weekly basis to meet production goals. Plan and schedule coin, die, collars, and numismatic material supplies and services on a weekly basis.
Be responsible for the efficient accomplishment of the work, as well as monitoring and maintaining sufficient inventories of materials, coins, sets, medals, etc., to meet all quotas set by Mint Headquarters.
Investigate work related problems, determine cause and, depending on the situation, implement corrective actions.
Support an aggressive safety and health program applicable to the agency and with all rules, regulations and orders issued by the head of the agency and other responsible authorities with respect to the agency Occupational Safety and Health Program.

Collection, organization, and identification of machine assembly and qualification tooling/fixturing from production bays (point of use) to storage location. Ensure accuracy of check-in/check-out data and maintain '5-S' state of fixturing.
Movement of unused material ("MRS") from production bays to centralized MRS location, performing MRS disposition according to established criteria, executing SAP inventory transactions as needed, and provide material.
