The Dental Assistant supports the clinical treatment care of patients. Other functions include sustaining patient comfort, managing supplies, listening to patients' needs and educating them on dental procedures, working efficiently to maintain doctor's schedule and adhering to all OSHA and safety policies and procedures. The Dental Assistant will also organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop x-rays and provide comprehensive post-op dental procedures to patients. The ideal Dental Assistant candidate should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology, a friendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent organizational skills.
As a Dental Assistant at a Heartland Dental supported office, you must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.
Additional requirements for the Dental Assistant include:
Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

Virginia Goodskills Literacy Corps- Fredericksburg Area
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries uses AmeriCorps members to build literacy, numeracy, and basic computing skills of both opportunity youth and adults in the Fredericksburg region of Virginia. AmeriCorps members will be responsible for assisting 1000 program participants in pursuing the skills necessary to knock down barriers, increase self-sufficiency, and pursue dreams of higher education and/or better career opportunities.
In addition, AmeriCorps members will leverage an additional 696 volunteers who will be engaged in assisting the AmeriCorps members build literacy, numeracy, and basic computing skills of both opportunity youth and adults, as well as help build the capacity of the program in the Fredericksburg region of Virginia. This program will focus on the CNCS focus area of Economic Opportunity, and the VA State focus area of Volunteer Generation. The Virginia GoodSkills Literacy Corps is a statewide fundamental skills and literacy tutoring program within 3 different Goodwills in Virginia, Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, and Horizon Goodwill Industries. AmeriCorps members serve as Adult Literacy Tutors in the areas served by these Goodwills:
Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Locust Grove, Orange, and Culpeper, Roanoke, Madison Heights, Harrisonburg, and the New River Valley, and Winchester, Virginia. AmeriCorps members tutor in the areas of basic literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, english for speakers of other languages, financial literacy, job readiness, workplace skills, and soft skills and job training skills for opportunity youth, people with disabilities, and other barriers to employment. POSITION SUMMARY: The Attending Physician works with the Center Medical Director to ensure that delivery of clinical services achieves the Genesis HealthCare® mission and is incorporated into all Centers. This is done by working with Centers and Regional Management and Genesis Physician ServicesSM consultants to oversee the implementation, utilization, and outcomes measurement of Genesis HealthCare® Clinical Programs and nationally accepted standards of care.
The Attending Physician's primary reporting relationship is to the VPMA. The Attending Physician is also accountable to both the Center's Administrator and Medical Director due to their legal and regulatory responsibilities.
1.Take complete responsibility for patients admitted to their service
2.Comply with the Genesis Physician Services (GPS) credentialing process
3.Visit assigned patients in a timely fashion according to GPS policy and procedure.
4.Comply with guidelines related to GPS initiatives.
5.Comply with the Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff.
6.Comply with the Genesis Corporate Integrity policies.
7.Assess the customer and ensure that a complete history and physical examination are on the chart within 48hrs after the admission.
8.Deliver high quality care to assigned patients.
9.Review Clinical Outcomes Report (COR) with the Center Medical Director and act to improve the care in the facility.
10. Serve as an appropriate role model for other physicians and staff.
11. Help articulate the Genesis HealthCare® mission to the community and professional organizations.
12. Help the organization establish appropriate relationships, and coordinate transfer and care arrangements with area hospitals and other pertinent institutions.
13. Demonstrate care and compassion to ensure that all internal and external customers consistently receive high quality service.
