Part Time Fuel Clerk
This is a part time position.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides superior customer service. Sells products available at the fuel Center in accordance with company standards regarding merchandise presentation, safety, sanitation, service and suggestive selling. Assists customers by ringing up sales and controlling the fuel pumps in order to ensure fast, friendly service service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
Responsible for ringing up all merchandise. Receives payment for customer purchases. Properly maintains cash drawer, is accountable for all cash, coupons, checks, and receipts in the drawer.
Receives and checks in delivered merchandise and places in appropriate storage area.
Fills displays and stocks shelves as needed.
Fills outside towel holders, and replenishes or refreshes window washer fluid.
Service, clean and supply public restrooms; refill towel dispenser & soap dispensers.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with cleaning agents.
Gather and empty trash; clean & scrub trash cans and replace with liners.
May clean building floor by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming around equipment.
Adheres to Federal, State, local laws. Adheres to policies and store rules.
May perform other job-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Education Level:
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Level:
Gas Station Attendant experience preferred; on-the-job training provided
Skills and Background:

Duties:
Complete home deliveries as assigned
Follows state codes and regulations as well as company procedures
Enjoy interacting with customers and seek high levels of customer satisfaction
Assist with inventory management and reporting for bulk plant and retail delivery trucks
Stay organized and compliant by completing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner

Junior Fuel Oil Scheduler/Operator
SUMMARY:
The Junior Fuel Oil Scheduler/Operator is responsible for supporting the fuel oil/bunker team with administrative and logistics tasks. The position will require the ability to integrate into a fast moving/flexible team responsible for supplying and sales of Residual Fuel and Bunkers. The position will be responsible for data entry into ETRM, as well as supporting the day to day operations of supply and marketing. Operations of supply and marketing will require incumbent to available 7/24/365, reachable by phone and ready to act should any issues arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work in fast paced environment, adapting on the fly
Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize confirmation through invoice documentation
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers to fulfil their administrative requests
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks with potentially changing timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions
Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Four-year college degree preferred not required
Petroleum industry experience not necessary
Experience in ETRM, or other relevant data entry a plus
Experience with excel a must

Burns & McBride, a leader in the heating oil delivery and home comfort industry, is currently accepting applications for seasonal full-time heating oil delivery drivers. Seasonal assignments generally are from October to April.

Requirements
Preferred candidates must have a valid class A or B CDL license with tanker and hazmat endorsements. Two plus years previous driving experience required. Prior heating oil or propane delivery experience is preferred but not required.

Working knowledge of the streets and developments of New Castle County is also required.
Scheduled work week is 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the possibility of overtime.
