PHYSICAL EFFORT Work requires considerable standing, walking, bending, working in awkward conditions, and climbing on tanks and heavy mobile equipment. Exerts light to moderate physical effort while performing operations such as connecting hoses and opening valves. Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May be required to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time. Frequently lifts and carries supplies, materials and equipment that weigh over 70 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS Much of the work is done outside in all kinds of weather, around moving parts and vehicles. There is some danger of fire, exposure to toxic fumes, excessive noise, vibration, and falls from the top of vehicles. Tanks and pumps are equipped with hose that collect fumes before they escape into the air. Work may be dirty, dusty and greasy. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises, injury from falling objects, collisions, shifting load, and overturning.

Fuel Distribution System Operator
The Fuel Distribution System Operator receives, stores, transfers, and issues fuel to aircraft using R-12 Hydrant Servicing Vehicles and R-11 refueling units; transports diesel fuel to on-base customers such as generators and K-Loaders; and transports diesel fuel to organizational tanks, light-all s, generators, or special purpose vehicles and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fuel Distribution System Operator receives, stores, transfers, and issues fuel through pipelines at main line or terminal stations, receives fuel by tanker, ships fuel tank truck, prepares and checks receiving or issuing documents, connects lines, grounding wires, and loading and offloading arms or hoses to pipelines; and visually inspects samples of fuel, and checks gravity and flashpoint. This operator gauges tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels, checks pumping systems for correct operating pressure or unusual noises, performs preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel systems, performs general housekeeping and grounds maintenance for terminal, pipeline and loading areas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred. Operators must have at least a Class B CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Air brake endorsements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Fuels Operators must have at least two years' experience in receipt, storage and issue of petroleum products and liquid propellants and the operation of aviation and ground fuels storage and dispensing systems; mobile and fixed fuel systems used in the servicing of military or civilian aircraft.
Fuel Distribution System Mechanic
DL FMS JV, a joint venture between Dae Sung, LLC and LB&B Associates Inc., is currently seeking a full-time Fuel Distribution System Mechanic (FDSM) for our contract to provide refueling service at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
The Fuel Distribution System Mechanic must have a minimum of 8 years maintaining and repairing fuel storage and distribution systems, using hand and power tools and testing instruments, inspects fuel receiving, storage, and distribution facilities to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, and gauges, (such as distribution lines, float gauges, piping valves, pumps, and roof sumps); inspects electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe-operating condition, grounding, and adjustment, lubricates and repacks valves; lubricates pumps, replaces gaskets, seals and corrects pumping equipment misalignment, and cleans strainers and filters.
Maintenance experience on Type III hydrants is a plus.

Apply engineering principles to develop and support NAFTA fuel injection system (FIS) software, including calibration integration, and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) monitor development. Calibrate heavy-duty on-highway diesel engine FIS diagnostic strategies for the purpose of meeting CARB Heavy-Duty OBD regulations. The scope of responsibility includes understanding and interpreting OBD regulatory requirements, processing and organizing data for analysis, maintaining and completing related DVP&R, performing calibration and validation of diagnostic monitors, and resolving complex hardware and software related issues that occur in the field or customer applications.
Develop software features to meet OBD requirements, as well as calibration, validation, and certification of those monitors for diesel heavy- and medium-duty engines.
Create, maintain, and/or execute test plans, and lead related activities, to fulfill requirements contained within the diagnostic monitor Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
Analyze data from RG, engineering trucks, or field to diagnose and resolve complex fuel system specific issues & ensure sufficient margin for OBD limit parts.

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking field personnel with a minimum of 5 years of experience with the mechanical fueling system maintenance and repair related to the sustainment, restoration and modernization of petroleum handling systems. Candidates will be considered to support primarily field activities serving our commercial and federal sector clients throughout North America. Location is multiple: San Diego CA, Bremerton/Olympia WA or Collinsville IL.
The selected candidate will serve as Tetra Tech's agent for all repair actions to include monitoring of Health and Safety requirements, controls, processes and protocols related to the on site management of repair activities. Candidate will support operations including work planning, scheduling, and coordination with on and off site clients to facilitate the safe and timely execution of inspection, maintenance repair of petroleum handling systems. Typical activities will include:
Maintains effective communications with client, subcontractors and Tetra Tech's Project Manager;
Implements plans, execute and monitor work activities to ensure project execution supports compliance with internal and external timelines and objectives;
Schedule and conducts on-site meetings with the client and subcontractors as required; Liaises with client and prevailing government agency representatives as required;
Resolves operational, customer, contractor or technical problems that impact the effectiveness of the repair projects using defined processes; and
Execution of periodic maintenance and minor repairs to petroleum handling systems.
Experience depicting execution or management of on-site system repair activities, construction safety, systems maintenance and inspection activities affiliated with U.S. military fueling systems is highly desirable;
Ability to read and interpret construction scopes of work, project drawings and specifications;
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook;
Knowledge of UFGS, UFC, ASME codes, API, North American and / or international standards and principles related to the design, construction, inspection and repair processes associated with petroleum and oil storage and distribution systems preferred;
Knowledge of OSHA Construction Safety certifications and/or relevant industry certifications from API, STI or NACE is desirable; and
2 Year degree or certificate in engineering, maintenance or construction services is preferable.

Fuel System Test Plan Preparation & Design Engineer

Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for the KF-X effort. This program provides technical assistance to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multi-role fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea, and responsibilities include:
Plan facility building, full-scale fuel system simulator (rig) setup.
Manage procurement of test equipment for fuel system rig test.
Instructing KAI engineers on performing rig tests
Mentor the KAI fuel system engineers from the planning / building of the test facility to conducting fuel system tests in full scale simulator.
In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and train and mentor customer engineers. Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Candidate must be able to relocate internationally.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
Experience mentoring or training engineers on diverse teams
At least 7 years combined experience in the following skill sets:
Planning and conducting various subsystem tests within the fuel system, executing test plans and writing test reports.
Experience with general lab safety requirements and procedures especially in an explosive fuel environment.
Experience with various aircraft subsystem testing such as calibration of fuel quantity and gauging system, ground / aerial refueling system tests, engine feed system, fuel transfer system, fuel thermal management system, pressurization & vent system, On Board Inert Gas Generation System (OBIGGS) inerting, failure modes, etc.
Experience with test equipment required for test control, monitoring, and Data Acquisition System (DAS).
The following are desired but not required:
Have extensive fuel system testing experience in a full scale fuel system simulator.
Have deep knowledge in requirements for test facility setup, the required facility and test equipment as well as familiarization with fighter aircraft fuel and OBIGGS systems.
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Experience with military or government programs
Experience working with international customers, particularly the Korean Government or culture
Experience with Export Control Compliance
