Assess damages and choose the appropriate method of repair for case goods, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
Perform various furniture service duties to include the repair and refurbishment of all case goods, upholstery, and leather products.
Ability to use techniques such as use of fillers, burn-ins, color matching, structural repairs, and installation of replacement parts.
Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
Ability to travel over the road for after purchase repair in the homes of customers.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience preferred.
Experience using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture.
Woodworking, upholstery and leather repair, faux finishing, paint color matching, custom framing, coatings and finishes on various surfaces, furniture construction methods.
Ability to repair: wood, leather, fabric, metal, stone, marble, concrete

Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of 3 or more years experience in Outside Upholstery for fine custom furniture pieces (fabric and leather)
Ability to read production tickets and any special instructions
Utilize tools such as staple gun, nail gun, scissors, regulator, button needle, staple puller, pliers, tape measure etc.
Must know how to apply ply grip
Ability to match outside cover with inside cover
Fabric must be upholstered on the outside smooth to fit the frame properly
Add stuffing to outside back of the furniture piece
All pleats must be short and uniform
Build pieces on time according to production schedule
Keep work area clean and clear

Upholsterers make/assemble furniture and products for Lippert Interiors. This position requires making, repairing, or replacing upholstery for furniture/products.

This job is responsible for building upholstered marine furniture by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review scope, ECO and PPW.
Design/develop preliminary specifications: work with designers and mock up team on
determining how styling of upholstery components will be done throughout the project, including
color, wood, micas, and Corian.

Operates sewing machine to seam cushions and join various sections of covering materials.
Prepare wooden frame of work piece including refinishing surfaces.
Prepare foam for all substrates for buyoff and approval.
Attend Design reviews, Buy-off's, Walk-Thru's, and BOM meetings as needed to give input to build of parts and room
Review, red line and approve finished prints and reverse engineering of parts/ digitizing process as required for your assignment
Boat prep and or Boat deliveries
Boat shipping and loading prep
Cross training in Warehouse, Welding, Maintenance, Block Sanding, Tooling, Master Design, and Water Test areas.
Assist with the design, engineering, and reengineering of all boat components
Work with vendors and Engineering on creating new parts as needed
Work one on one with CAD Designer on model and documentation
Must be able to use the CNC router and Lectra cutter to cut parts for your assignment

Assemble and install structural stringers, flooring, and bulkheads as well as possible glassing of any hull, deck or small parts as well as, put in all fiberglass parts free fit prior to installation
Demonstrate the proper use of woodworking power tools such as: table saw, band saw, miter box, and various hand tools.
Demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork is essential.
Responsible for maintaining a clean organized work area and responsible for an assigned clean up area within the Assembly area.
Must follow proper procedures in the safe handling of hazardous wastes, which may be generated during the manufacturing process.
