Develop and apply a manufacturing mindset to designs in order to effectively and efficiently mass produce products.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. 2+ years of experience in related design field. Excellent problem solving skills and a hands-on attitude.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point. Ability to travel 10% of the time is required (travel includes Domestic and International). High interest in tools of the trade. Good understanding of C programming, especially relating to microcontroller peripherals and related development tools and processes.
Good understanding of analog and digital system tradeoffs and design, especially related to signal integrity and noise analysis. Familiarity with using schematic capture, PCB layout software, SPICE and knowledge of industry best practices. Battery & Charger Design Application and evaluation of microcontrollers.
Working knowledge of communications protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, serial, USB). Familiarity of switched mode power supplies including EMC, magnetics, and power semiconductors preferred. Job Description Summary:
Role and Scope of Position: This position provides direct supervision of internal and/ or external work crews. The position oversees resources engaged in the operation, maintenance and construction of Eversource Energy gas distribution systems.

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline plus three (3) years of experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers, and supervising employees;
OR Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers, and supervising employees;
OR Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service, or utility operations, or technical discipline with supervisory and/or customer service experience. At the Senior Supervisor level, prefer a minimum of 7 years utility experience and ability to coach/mentor others. Licenses & Certification: None
Working Conditions: Work is conducted outside, in varied conditions and terrain including adverse weather conditions, and in a normal office environment. Work requires sitting, walking, standing, stair climbing, completion of paperwork, using a telephone and computer and attending meetings.
Drives to various job site locations and customer premises to supervise work, and review or discuss construction job requirements. May work with computers for long periods of time during the day. Subject to shift work including weekends.
Off-hour on-call responsibility may be required on a rotational basis. At times, requires working long hours in response to outage situations and shift coverage requirements. Problem Solving & Complexity: This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results. Requires being able to effectively relate to customers and the general public under stressful circumstances and for prolonged periods.
Must be able to clearly articulate job and safety related information to employees and to effectively address performance issues in a constructive manner. Requires being able to respond to problem situations in a timely manner at all hours of the day or night.
