We anticipate the need for one or more Seasonal Utility Gas Helper(s) to join our team. This position can assist in a variety of job function within Gas Operations.
Work ranges from performing leak survey of our gas system to performing maintenance, installation and repair of our gas facilities. These positions work with regulation, metering, odorization, customer piping and below and above ground piping.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Previous construction or mechanical work experience
Valid driver's license
Must be in excellent physical condition and be able to handle a 90 pound jackhammer
There are two levels of temporary gas helper
entry level and advanced
In order to be considered for placement in the advanced level, applicant must meet all requirements outlined above along
with work experience in natural gas, polyfusion, possession of a CDL (Class A), operation of heavy equipment
Placement within the two levels will be commensurate with candidate's skills, education, experience and need

Position Description:
Inspects installation, maintenance, and removal work performed by employees and/or contractors on transmission and distribution pipelines to ensure compliance and/or identify noncompliance with company and governmental standards.
Assists with operation and/or maintenance of tools and equipment in performance of duties including:

Position Requirements:
Experience in use, function, and maintenance of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing and utilizing computer applications.

Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Inspector I
Job Description:
The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) currently has a vacancy for an unclassified Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Inspector I for the KCC's Utilities Division. The KCC is the public utilities commission of the State of Kansas run by three Commissioners appointed by the Governor with the approval of the Senate.
The Commission has the responsibility of ensuring that natural gas, electricity, telephone and transportation vendors provide safe, adequate and reliable services at reasonable rates. Significant in-state travel will be required for inspection duties.
The Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Inspector primarily will conduct field inspections of pipeline operators for compliance with pipeline safety regulations. This position will also assist the Chief of Gas Operations and Pipeline Safety with:
Implementation of federal initiatives such as distribution integrity management and operator qualifications;
Inspector supervision, inspection scheduling, database management and analysis of inspection results;
Conduct routine inspections for compliance with the Kansas Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act;
Conduct investigations and prepare reports for determining causes of major catastrophic gas pipeline failures.
Qualifications:
College degree or a combination of education and technical experience that includes a good understanding of the engineering sciences and their applications to the pipeline industry.
Natural gas industry or regulatory experience is highly desirable. Well-developed technical writing skills are required.
Salary Range: $23.31 hourly/$48,484.40 annually - $25.00 hourly/$52,000 annually

We are seeking a candidate to perform a variety of technical inspection work to ensure that oil and gas facilities in unincorporated Adams County are operating in compliance with the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) and Adams County rules, regulations, policies, and permits. Conduct site inspections and document conditions of all oil and gas facilities and field operations including drilling, cementing, completions, production, stormwater management, and monitoring and protection of public health, safety, welfare, and the environment, including wildlife resources. This position reports to the Senior Environmental Analyst.

Field Inspections: Inspect drilling, producing, temporarily abandoned, and shut-in wells; witness cementing for well abandonment and casing setting, production facilities, and centralized waste facilities to ensure operators are in compliance with COGCC and Adams County regulations; approve Administrative Use by Special Review permits, orders, site specific conditions of approval (COAs), and or Comprehensive Drilling Plans.
Complaint Response: Respond to, investigate, and resolve complaints. Inspector will determine if there is a potential violation of commission rules, Adams County regulations, or permit conditions. The inspector will work closely with Adams County and COGCC staff to determine the appropriate response within the complaint process.
Assist with the State of Colorado's Orphaned Well Program: Identify orphaned wells and well sites; evaluate the need for action and prioritize new work within existing backlog; recommend the well/site to be added to the Fund 170 PROW; manage and monitor onsite work of 3rd party contractors.
Guidance and Outreach: Provide technical knowledge and guidance to the regulated community on implementation and applicability of COGCC rules, in particular to new rules or amended rules in the 210.d., 303.d., 319, 317B., 341., 603., 604., 605, and 1000 related to stormwater management, monitoring, remediation, and protection of public health, safety, welfare, and the environment, including wildlife resources.
Enforcement: Participate in formal enforcement procedures. For State rules and permits, this activity requires coordination with Commission employees and may require the writing and typing of letters and entering data into various Commission forms. The Inspector shall be available as a witness at any required hearing of enforcement proceeding. For enforcement of Adams County regulations and permits, coordination with the County Attorney's Office is required.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as necessary.

Read and interpret complex oil and gas operations plans.

Job Summary:
As a Leak Survey Technician with TRC you will perform visual inspection of exposed and underground gas distribution facilities and components and compile field data collection consistent with customer procedures. You will be responsible for reporting serious issues promptly, preparing work orders as directed for abnormal operating conditions, and communicating issues with customer representatives in a timely manner.
Overview of Duties:
Accurately detect and classify gas leaks during inspections performed inside and outside
Process required data accurately and timely
Complete required paperwork and sketches in an efficient manner and meet all required completion dates
Responsible for the proper operation, field maintenance, care and security of all assigned equipment.
Achieve weekly billable goal as defined by the project guidelines
Identify and report any observed Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOCs)
Read and interpret Gas Company maps and records
Work is performed in residential, commercial and/or industrial setting
