Responsible to the Operators for whichever function they are assigned to and functions as the machine supply liaison and setup assistant.
Operates the machine pre-feeder and press as needed during breaks to insure continuous run.
Give breaks to Operator(s) and Assistant(s) on machines as needed.
Responsible for keeping the machine fed with stock, printing dies, cutting dies, and ink as needed.
Responsible for set up duties on machines as assigned.
Responsible for certain aspects of quality assurance.
Performs basic housekeeping tasks in support of machine operations; keeps work are clean and free from clutter and debris.
Work completed as assigned by the Supervisor and /or Machine Operator.
Must be able to lift and mount print plates, both during setup and when returning tooling to the racking system.
Must be able to lift ink buckets weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Must be able to safely use T-handle wrenches for setting pull collars and slotting / scoring heads.
Must be able to read a standard tape measure and read and understand job specification cards.
Must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for crew member's safety at all times; always follow lock out and tag out procedures; always use personal protective equipment (steel toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs and safety vest, Kevlar gloves, etc).
Work requires the ability to understand and follow directions.
Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measure, read and copy figures and count and record figures.
A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and to deal with problems.
Follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for crew member's safety at all times; always follow lock out tag and try procedures, Keep work are clean and free from clutter and debris; always use personal protective equipment.
Work requires the ability to understand and follow directions normally acquired through a partial high school education.
Assistant Installation Technician ?
The Installation Assistant assists the Installation Leader and installers in maintaining required production levels by working on, but not limited to boilers, forced air equipment, sheet metal duct systems, cutting and threading pipe, gas piping, etc. for residential customers.
Assists crew leader in preparing for the day by loading all equipment for scheduled jobs.
Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
Supports crew leader in:
Installing HVAC related equipment.
Installing Sheet metal duct systems.
Connecting gas lines to heating equipment.
Cutting and threading pipes.
Wiring both line voltage and low voltage to heating equipment.
Installing copper refrigerant line to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
Maintains a clean work area and safeguard client floors by laying drop cloths while performing installations.
Wears floor savers while working in client homes.
Inspects area for cleanliness after job completion.
Completes installation forms which reflect tasks performed for reporting accuracy and future comparison.

General Helper – Mexia, AL
Georgia-Pacific is hiring General Helpers for our Rocky Creek facility in Mexia, Alabama. This facility produces a variety of products from Southern Yellow Pine, including dimension lumber, heavy studs, squares/timbers and barn timbers. As a General Helper, you will be working in different areas of the mill to keep it clean. You will be sweeping, shoveling, and giving machine operators breaks when needed. This is a hands-on, entry-level job that truly gives you experience in every part of our mill.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes:
