Position Requirements Include:
Troubleshoot the production machinery. Access machines in order to examine source of trouble. As required, make mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electronic adjusts to machine components and control instruments.
Set-up, threading and start-up of production machine after any interruption. Check the quality of the finished product on a regular basis. Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Three months or more of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to use hand tools.
Be mechanically inclined. Be able to perform all the physical components of the position, with reasonable accommodation if required. JOB PURPOSESet-up, adjust and maintain automatic, high speed equipment that converts paper rolls into custom envelopes. Start injection molding presses according to established processes. Perform quality tests on auxiliary testing equipment. Diagnose and correct difficulties in operation of molds, presses, and other equipment. This position requires the ability to vary prescribed operation conditions as necessary to produce quality parts. Change and adjust feed and time as necessary to correct deficiencies in quality. Recommend changes in and repairs of presses, molds, and other equipment. Keep production and process control monitoring records. May assist with mold changes when necessary. Will maintain a neat and orderly work area, and perform other duties as directed by supervisor. #external

Examines work orders to determine specifications.
Inspects product quality according to quality guidelines.
Maintains accurate count of envelopes to boxes, cartons and pallets.
Packs envelopes uniformly and neatly into completed containers while keeping up with machine speeds.
Places die cut paper stacks into the feed of the machine.
Checks orders throughout production to ensure accuracy of labeling, printing and packaging.
Performs daily machine maintenance, change overs, and set-up of machines.
Minor machine repairs.
Troubleshoots minor operating difficulties including: analyzing machine operations, inspection of product, making necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.
Performs machine wash-up and other general cleaning duties.
Accurately completes paperwork to record labor, time and quality. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: * 3+ years Machine Adjuster or Set-Up Operator experience on RA and/or WD machines in a position of similar skill set and level of responsibility within the Envelope Industry preferred but not required. * 5 years machine set-up and/or repair experience preferred.
Excellent mechanical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Strong Analytical abilities: Analyzing machine operations, inspection of products, locating troublesome elements within machines and makes necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.
