The Transportation Planner/WG Customer Service POC is a member of the Logistics Transportation team responsible for planning and managing shipments from CCNA sites to customers and intra-company shipments. Typical daily load volumes under management by this role will be 175 - 300 on the average, and will vary based on complexity of site(s) managed and the business needs. The planners are key members of each production management team involved in daily operations while also linked with the strategic team involved in carrier business reviews.
Function Specific Activities:
Assists in collecting and analyzing data systems; updates and maintains a current and comprehensive database on which to draw for solutions development; uses statistical modeling skills to develop logistics solutions
Manages inventories and tactical planning; coordinates inter-company shipments and troubleshooting. Individual contributor representing the most common entry point for this career stream; works under direct supervision.
The Transportation Planner is the leader/business owner of their assigned area of responsibility. This includes responsibility and accountability for service performance versus goal and financial performance.
Responsible for 10k – 40k customer loads.
Each planning resources is accountable for fully leveraging the Oracle Transportation Management system's along with other tools including Four Kites, SAP and other software as it becomes available.
Planners are responsible for analyzing key performance indicators and implementing corrective actions, balancing service and costs.
The Transportation/ White Glove planner will be responsible for controlling the flow of information to all of the key parties involved.
Timely resolution of issues and proactive notification to our Customer teams, warehouses, plants and carriers is key to a successful planner.
Working across multiple levels of the organization doing what we can, to make sure the customer gets their product delivered on time to the first appointment.
The transportation planner must be aware of the variables within the logistics organization – what we ship, when we ship it, where we ship it from, where it ships to, when it is requested to deliver, how much of it we ship, how much we pay to ship it and the value of the cargo.
Using those variables they would then deliver the best blended outcome of service and cost within the guidelines established by the Logistics leadership.
The most adept planners will realize that by adjusting the specifics of the variables and applying situational awareness to make the best decision for the instances at hand, a broad range of outcomes are possible.
The planner has great latitude to adjust the variables within given boundaries to achieve the desired outcome.
Flexibility in covering vacations, extended PM hours and rotating weekend schedules when needed is a must. Multiple positions, including nights and weekend shifts.

Our routes are typically from Bristol, VT to locations up and down the eastern seaboard, with delivery territories expanding constantly. Multi-day trips occur regularly. Many routes are completed as a team with two drivers.

Must have design experienceon a diverse array of projects through all phases of design and construction, witha focus on all Low Voltage Systems elements, not limited to BMS, IT, AV,Security, Aviation and HealthCare Low Voltage Specialty systems.. Experiencewith peer reviews and/or due diligence studies.
Projects will be locatedthroughout the U.S and approximately 25% travel is expected. Experience withU.S. building design codes and material specific standards. Experience withusing design software for design analysis, general collaboration software (i.e.BlueBeam Studio) and operation of 3D and BIM software (e.g Navisworks, AutoCAD,Revit, Rhino, SketchUp).
Able to effectively and clearly communicate in aprofessional environmental via verbal and written means. Knowledge ofElectrical / Low Voltage and HVAC Systems products and costs. Continueddevelopment of expertise and awareness of innovations in the industry.
