RESPONSIBILITY: Underthe direction of the foreman as administered by the set up person, the operatorhas the full responsibility of the machine to insure that quality products areachieved at a constant rate of speed in accordance with machine standards.

Checkproduction report to assure all required information and special comments havebeen filled in and turn in required paperwork to respective locations.
1.Packing consists of picking up the blanks andinspecting for product quality, placing the blanks in proper counts into thecase and running the case through the automatic case sealer.
2.Thecase is lifted and placed onto a wooden pallet.
3.Thestacking arrangement for each case size will be shown in the Pallet StackingManual hanging on a post located near the tray machine.
4.Themanual will also show the number of layers high to stack.
5.Themaximum height is approximately 65 inches.
6.Placea tie sheet between each layer to keep the higher cases from falling over.
7.Once apallet is full, call the stock puller on the paging system to move the pallet.
8.Whenthe pallet is moved, place a new pallet down by the machine.
9.Keepthe machine and work area clean.

- Adjustto and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiencyand safety of the operation.

JOBRATE AND TRAINING PERIOD:
The supervisor will determine whetheradvancement has been made in a manner that warrants an increase in wages, andshould give advice regarding performance areas on which to work to help eachemployee achieve maximum productivity as well as earning potential. Progression wage increases will be based onperformance evaluations conducted by supervision. Wage increases are not an automatic part ofthe Performance Evaluation. The top rateof any particular job is defined as the "Ceiling Rate". This position is located in the UNICOR Furniture Factory at a federal correctional facility. UNICOR is a government cooperation which employs inmates in manufacturing and producing a variety of goods and services for sale to other government agencies.
A primary purpose of this position is to train and supervise inmates in the manufacturing of plastic laminate and wood furniture and other products of various styles and designs. What You'll be Responsible For in this Role
- In this role operate designated machines and equipment to convert corrugated board into corrugated cartons or inner packaging within specifications of the customer orders.
Safety and Health of self and team working in the assigned area.
Participation in all Safety Activities.
Safety Inspection of the Machine and equipment; machine lock out tag out.
Support and maintain ISO 9001 activities and ensure that required processes are maintained.
Utilize the company's business systems to attain the machine schedule and job specifications to determine material requirements, machine set up and adjustments.
Adjusts machine components in order to meet order specifications, etc...
Performs Quality inspections as required; remove finished packaged items from process and separate rejected items.
Regulates machine flow and speed; on-going monitoring of the production line, watching for problems, pile ups, jams, glue that is not sticking, etc...
Coordinates with assigned team and forklift operators to obtain all material requirements per the specifications, i.e.... cutting dies, print plates, ink and corrugated sheets, etc...
Monitors control panel on machine; observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
Report quality, productivity, downtime and waste daily in the company's business system.
Completes Quality Checklist provided by the company timely and accurately at each process point for each production order
Trains, communicates and assists team assigned on the processes such as stacking, feeding, etc...
Performs cleanup of the machine and minor machine maintenance.
Keep area organized, clean and free from any hazardous conditions.
Implementation of ISO 9001 activities and ensure that required processes are maintained.
Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.
What We're Looking For
- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions. Must read, write and speak English at an adequate level for this position.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides.
Ability to convert from fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
Ability to use tape measure.
Ability to enter and utilize information in our computer business systems.

STATEMENT OF JOB
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, responsible to provide supervision to production employees in department(s) including work scheduling and assignment, employee training, ensuring production quality and quantity requirements are met, administering safety, communication and equipment maintenance, administrative duties include eTime labor verifications, and SAP transactions. This position requires Associates placed in the position to successfully complete specific training. These training requirements can be located on the Marinette Operations Training Matrix.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY OBLIGATIONS

Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. Preference given to candidates possessing post-secondary education in manufacturing or relevant business related coursework. 3 – 5 years experience on a manufacturing environment.
1.Must possess creativity/adaptability to successfully manage Department to effectively address changing business conditions and to achieve objectives.

10. Candidate must be skilled in nature in order to function in an environment where a variety of occupational skills may be required.
11. Position requires ability to work in a normal production plant environment.
12. Inventory monitoring, labor error corrections, correct negative messages, reject suspense, track part shortages, and update manufacturing schedules and e-time.
13. Will be responsible for monitory the process of incoming and outgoing inventory this will be accomplished by working with a designated planner.
14. Occasionally operates production equipment and tools.
15. Supplementary assistance to line operators.
16. Train employees in operation of equipment, as needed, in operation setup and trainer level proficiency.
17. Support to shift Production Supervisor in areas of production: scheduling, manpower planning and vacation planning.
18. Lead and support projects and assignments as assigned by Production Supervisor.
19. Raw material CNS planning, parts procurement, staging and line support; with the support of SAP tools.
