STAFFMARK TRANSPORTATION-has immediate openings for Class A Yard Hostlers in Perris, CA.
Yard hostlers will drive and maneuver yard goat & trailers from dock to dock switching out empty trailers with full trailers. Drivers will also be responsible on occasion to shuttle trailers from terminal to terminal within the area.
Safety is key, so driver must be safety minded, perform pre and post trips daily, chock rear wheels and be aware of safety hazards in all weather conditions.
Ability to work in fast paced environment, moving approximately 80+ moves per shift.
Driver must have strong communication skills as they will be interacting and taking direction from dispatch on a consistent basis through radio and on board computer system.
Shifts: 8pm-4:30am Sunday-Thursday
Pay rate: $20 per hour + OT
23 years of age or older
Valid Class A license
• Valid Medical Card
• 1 year or more Class A Yard Hostling experience within the last 3 years.
• Driver may not exceed any combination of 3 moving violations and/or preventable accidents on their MVR in the past 36 months.
• NO DUI'S / DWI’S in the past 5 years
NO Reckless Driving in the past 5 years.
Current H-6 DMV Printout (10 year), issued within the last 30 days

-This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering trailers in and out of the facility, in the yard and within an area
-Must be able to park/spot 53' containers
-Hook and unhook trailers to Yard Goat
-Drive trailers around yard to correct spot
-Switch out trailers when full
-Maintain safety and cleanliness of yard
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
-CDL Class A license required
-1 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-The associate must be able to legally operate a class A vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the trailers in and out of the yard
-The associate must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
-While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and spot trailers to specified doors or lot locations.
- Inspect trailers for defects, pre/post tri and submit inspection report indicating condition.
- Inspect loaded trailers to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.
- Drive tractor-trailer within yard or within short distances outside of yard, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering on the road and on Company premises.
- Drive Tractor, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.

Temporary full time position from 4/1/2018 to 3/30/2019Range Sheepherder: Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.
Most duties are performed out-of-doors and entail exposure to extreme heat and cold; dust, rain, snow, and wind; and herding hazards; poisonous snakes and predators common in range lands. General supervision will be provided by the ranch owner. A minimum of 6 months' experience is required.
Worker must be On-call 24/7. Driving is required on employers property (Drivers' License is not required).The Range Sheep Herder will be required to be on-call 24/7 and live on the range more than 50% of the time. Range duties include: herd sheep to pastures for grazing; sort and round up strays; protect and defend livestock from predators and from eating poisonous or noxious plants; ride house and/or 4-wheeler to move livestock; if riding horse the worker must be able to handle a house to ensure the safety of the worker, co-workers and livestock; manually restrain livestock when required; apply medication to cuts and bruises; spray sheep with insecticide; feed livestock supplementary rations; feed and care for horses and other domestic animals used on the range to help with herding; setup and take down electric fence; inspect and repair other fencing used to contain the herd.
Must be able to find and maintain bearings to grazing areas. Must be willing and able to live and work independently in isolated areas for extended periods of time. Workers must be willing and able to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision.
Duties that may be performed off the range less than 50% of the time include: Must be willing to be on-call. Job Description The research assistant will participate in the daily management of the research meat goat and beef cattle herds. Responsibilities will include feeding and health care of research animals; general livestock record keeping, the development and maintenance of livestock facilities, and inventory control of farm supplies.
The research assistant will help in the collection and processing of field data, interacting with various stakeholder groups, and performing administrative tasks as needed to meet objectives of ruminant research projects. Minimum Qualifications/Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science is required. The candidate should have documented animal management experience. Requisite skills include general management techniques for meat goat and beef cattle production, physical plant maintenance and troubleshooting, inventory control, and data management. Individual must be highly motivated and able to work in a culturally diverse program.
