Under the direction of the Golf Professional and other Pro Shop staff, will attend to the golf cart fleet and driving range.
Responsible for staging carts which includes bringing carts from the cart barn in the morning, cleaning, fueling and checking carts after each use and returning carts to cart barn at the end of the day.
Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.
Ensures that carts are available for player use at all times.
Ensures that practice range is open and ready for players in the mornings and will pick, clean and fill dispenser with range balls throughout the day.
Enforces established rules of course among golfers such as out of bound areas, cart regulations, wearing of proper clothing and practicing at designated sites.
Works closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournaments.
Ensures the clubhouse and practice range areas are kept orderly and clean, including restrooms and trash receptacles.
Responsible for cleaning and stocking restrooms as needed throughout the day.
Receives and responds to complaints from golfers.
Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the City.
Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
Relieves other personnel at the golf course when necessary.

Title: Golf Learning Center Range Attendant
FSLA Status: Part-Time – Non-Exempt
Hours will be monitored and kept under 1,000 per year
The Range Attendant assists with the day-to-day operations of the Deerfield Golf Club Learning Center, performing all duties with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.
Reports to the Golf Learning Center Manager.
Meets and greets each guest when they enter the Learning Center and when they complete their practice session and exit the Center.
Provides exceptional customer service to each guest and works with golf course management team to ensure compliance with guest services program.
Keeps areas around the range and parking lots clean and orderly; ensures all trash containers are emptied and club washer is always clean and full.
Retrieves and returns empty range baskets to the ball dispensing machine area throughout the day.
Monitors and removes excess range balls from the short game areas as needed.
Monitors the volume of the range ball dispensing machines and keeps each machine at a minimum operating capacity.
Assists with the operation of learning center special events as needed.
Operates driving range cart and ball picker equipment.
Assists other Learning Center or Deerfield Golf Club staff as needed.
Assists in or executes opening and closing procedures for the Learning Center.

Job Description Summary:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: Set up and break down lesson, member and school stations daily.
Replenish supply of balls, water, towels, etc. Using tractor, pick range; clear range sides with hand pickers. Set up bunkers and rake traps; unload guests' golf bags from carts.
SKILLS: This position requires a valid driver's license, lifting/carrying 25 – 50 pounds, knowledge of golf, reaching, feeling, fingering, handling, seeing, walking, hearing, speaking, and standing for a long time.
Set up and break down member stations along with lesson and school stations for instructors daily. Aid the golf school assistant with all aspects of the school program as directed.
Monitor and replenish supplies (balls, water, towels, etc.). Using the picker, pick the range as needed. Clear the sides of the range by using hand pickers. Assist the golf schools and move bags and collect golf balls from the greens.
Load/unload guests' golf bags from carts. Perform all other duties as assigned. Mailing or receiving items pertaining to Academy business.
Repair of divots by top dressing and leveling. Disposing of garbage. Retrieve and install gasoline as required.
Monitor and verify identity of persons using facility. Enforce rules and regulations of Academy use. Train new range employees as directed.
Golf Course Attendant
What would I be doing?
The Golf Course Attendant is responsible for assisting golf guests with their golf clubs and equipment and ensures golf operations is prepared each day to assist the guest with their golf needs. The position is also responsible for providing extraordinary service to both the internal and external guests.
Responsible for greeting all guests along with collecting their golf bags and any other items to be put in their golf cars.
Provides guest service to guests, directing them to the golf shop, practice facility and first tee.
Responsible for pre-opening duties include ensuring there are enough golf carts for the days activities based on a daily copy of the tee sheet.
