Foothills is seeking a Range Crew/Cart Assistant. This position is responsible for the staging and cleaning of the carts for customers to use. The duties of this position also include picking up and cleaning the range balls and being able to assist customers with loading or unloading their clubs.
RATE: $10.20 per hour

Hours will be monitored and kept under 1,000 per year
The Range Attendant assists with the day-to-day operations of the Deerfield Golf Club Learning Center, performing all duties with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.
Reports to the Golf Learning Center Manager.
Meets and greets each guest when they enter the Learning Center and when they complete their practice session and exit the Center.
Provides exceptional customer service to each guest and works with golf course management team to ensure compliance with guest services program.
Keeps areas around the range and parking lots clean and orderly; ensures all trash containers are emptied and club washer is always clean and full.
Retrieves and returns empty range baskets to the ball dispensing machine area throughout the day.
Monitors and removes excess range balls from the short game areas as needed.
Monitors the volume of the range ball dispensing machines and keeps each machine at a minimum operating capacity.
Assists with the operation of learning center special events as needed.
Operates driving range cart and ball picker equipment.
Assists other Learning Center or Deerfield Golf Club staff as needed.
Assists in or executes opening and closing procedures for the Learning Center.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Under the direction of the Golf Professional and other Pro Shop staff, will attend to the golf cart fleet and driving range.
Responsible for staging carts which includes bringing carts from the cart barn in the morning, cleaning, fueling and checking carts after each use and returning carts to cart barn at the end of the day.
Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.
Ensures that carts are available for player use at all times.
Ensures that practice range is open and ready for players in the mornings and will pick, clean and fill dispenser with range balls throughout the day.
Enforces established rules of course among golfers such as out of bound areas, cart regulations, wearing of proper clothing and practicing at designated sites.
Works closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournaments.
Ensures the clubhouse and practice range areas are kept orderly and clean, including restrooms and trash receptacles.
Responsible for cleaning and stocking restrooms as needed throughout the day.
Receives and responds to complaints from golfers.
Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the City.
Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
Relieves other personnel at the golf course when necessary.

Washes range balls after each picking prior to distribution. Changes water in the ball washer daily.

About Our Job
The Denver Municipal Golf Courses are open for play year-round (weather permitting) from daylight until dark and the golf pro shops are open 364 days a year. With the exception of the Christmas Day holiday, this means that all applicants must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Golf Cart Attendants:
Assist with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of golf courses and golf cart fleets.
Clean and maintain the golf driving range by picking balls with machinery and/or by hand, washing range balls and moving to ball dispenser, maintaining professional clean appearance of hitting bays and ball dispenser area.
Pull carts in and out of storage area throughout each day and maintains cleanliness of golf carts.
Transport carts from storage to staging area and vice versa.
Keep storage and staging area clean and free of trash.
Ensure golf carts are stocked with the necessary supplies.
Detail golf carts on a regular basis to ensure upkeep.
Report all cart damage and needed repairs to the appropriate personnel as soon as possible.

Fill and maintains watering stations on the course throughout the day.

Supporst the divisional operations with regular and timely attendance as scheduled.
Supports the relationship between the City of Odessa and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and City staff, maintains confidentiality of work related issues and City information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
Other: Must be at least 16 years old to be considered.
Certification: Texas Class "C" Driver License
Experience: Prefer similar part-time job experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of the game of golf, knowledge of the equipment used in the game of golf, knowledge of policies and procedures and rules and regulations involved in the operation of a golf facility, ability to effectively communicate with the general public, vendors and co-workers on a regular basis, thorough knowledge of and ability to follow established safety procedures, ability to work independently, ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
