Performs all scheduled and non-scheduled daily tasks. Responsibility to maintain awareness of all equipment assigned to them during production operations and assure efficient operation of equipment within a commercial Laundry Plant. Will perform preventive maintenance and emergent repair as situations develop. Will identify and correct any problems including jams, bad or missing belts, and missing ironer tape on the equipment assigned to them. Seeks technical assistance from Engineering as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs preventative maintenance activities on equipment as scheduled.
Ensures timely and quality completion of all maintenance and repairs, including overhead rail system and conveyor systems.
Assists technical and mechanical personnel including outside vendors as needed.
Maintains the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete tasks and new problems.
Notifies Production Supervisors on the status of any equipment that will impact production or cause down time and when back online.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be team oriented and able to function individually or with team. The right individual will always be willing to go the extra mile. Must be self-motivated, independent, prompt, and able to handle tasks as they present themselves. Solid communication skills.
Must be able to operate tools and equipment safely. Must be able to understand all safety procedures, which includes but not limited to lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment. Must be able to maintain clean and safe work area for themselves and the associates around them.
Must have a good working knowledge of machinery. Able to help repair and maintain mechanical drive systems. Able to help repair and maintain conveyor systems. Able to help repair and maintain overhead rail systems.

Life Coaches are integral staff members in the Excel Center. Their primary role is to promote continued student engagement in The Excel Center and to serve as a student advocate.
Each coach is responsible for a number of students, typically ranging from 65-100. In order to support student learning and productivity, coaches build relationships with each student and provide resources to remove barriers from their educational progress. Effective coaches understand how to prioritize and manage their core responsibilities while also being responsive to student crises as they arise. Through problem-solving sessions, the Coach will facilitate ways in which each student can overcome barriers and continue educational progress towards his or her diploma and post-grad career pathway.
The Bilingual (Spanish-Speaking) Night Life Coach will work primarily with the Night School Program which runs Monday-Thursday from 5:30—9:45pm for the 2017-18 schoolyear. The Night Life Coach will have the option of working either Mon-Thurs for longer four-day shifts or Mon-Fri on a five-day shift.
Additional responsibilities include: administering the intake process, assessing life experiences, determining education tracks with instructional staff, and connecting students with internal and external support services to ensure success. The position will work with the instructional team in meeting the educational objectives and adhering to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards. Additionally, the approach will support the Goodwill of Central Texas mission and vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The core responsibilities of life coaches fall under three primary umbrellas:
1.Provide support, work closely, and maintain open communication with leadership, staff, and students to support student success.
2.Engage students with the academic and career process via evidence-based techniques.
3.Monitor student attendance, conduct home visits, and employ creative interventions to ensure students remain aligned with their academic plan.
4.Intervene with students to address behaviors that are not prosocial in nature and skill-build to promote positive, strength-based, and career-readiness oriented patterns of behavior.
5.Attend all team and professional development meetings and become part of a reliable alliance to ensure student engagement.
1.Manage and monitor student information via an electronic database in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner to ensure academic progress, develop class schedule, and direct students toward graduation.
2.Collaborate with students in developing personal graduation plans based on credits remaining for graduation, state testing, and applicable career goals.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assist school team with outreach efforts and community integration events throughout the school year (periodically required at nights and on weekends).
2.Collaborate with instructional teams to address student success.is not merely a “paper” requirement. It must also be prepared to show that the standard was not established for a discriminatory reason. These may also inform the required qualifications.
3. . Flexibility to work approximately 2 nights per week (on an adjusted day schedule) to meet night program/student needs.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
