The position involves repetitive motions over the entire shift including walking, standing and repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting. Daily accuracy of work is necessary for inventory control and accountability. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping and adherence to health and safety standards.

Job Description
A Step 2 CS Patient Note Grader's primary responsibilities are to assess and provide feedback on student patient notes. Note grading takes place during real-time simulated exams and must include feedback as per Kaplan's standardized methods.
The Step 2 CS Patient Note Grader must have passed their Step 2 CS exam. Passing Step 1 and 2CK is preferred, but not required. Must be a team player, have excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
Conducts a check and evaluation of facilities, equipment, processing and packaging methods, sanitation procedures, and quality improvement program at dairy plants for the processing/production cycle.
Prepares detailed inspection reports covering a large number of carefully examined items in each inspection to determine plant compliance with the specifications and overall program requirements
Makes recommendations for correction of conditions that are not in compliance with specifications and to improve quality and stability of raw materials and finished products.
Conducts follow-up visits, as required, to monitor and assess problem areas at specific plant locations and to assure ongoing eligibility of plants to produce approved product.
Selects samples of product for test weighing and for container and product quality examination. Prepares samples for transmittal to designated laboratory for chemical and bacteriological analysis.
Checks accuracy of scales for weighing and establishes an accurate tare weight of packaging material; weighs samples, records weights, computes and certifies the tare and net weight for lot tested.
Applies official standards, specifications, and instructions in the inspection or grading of dairy other related products according to factors of flavor, body, texture, color, finish and appearance.
Determines the final U.S. Grade according to official Grade Standards for each lot and unit thereof; prepares graders' memoranda, sampling reports and/or official certificates for product graded.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Conducts field review of sanitary designs for dairy processing equipment and processing facilities. Reviews and evaluates blueprints and design drawings of proposed equipment/facilities at plant locations and makes initial determinations of whether proposed equipment/facilities are practical and feasible and are in accordance with program specifications and requirements.
Evaluates prototype or production models of equipment presented for review at the fabricator's location or at dairy processing facilities and makes recommendations as to whether equipment should be approved for use at plant locations receiving grading/inspection services. Consults with design engineers, sales representatives, installers, or dairy plant management on sanitary aspects of facilities and equipment designs to assure that program standards are met. Prepares written reports documenting the results of the reviews and consultations, and makes recommendations to the Equipment Specialist for action.
Makes a methodical check and evaluation of the plant's facilities, processing equipment, processing and packaging methods, sanitary procedures, and quality improvement program for the raw milk going into the manufacture of its products.
Prepares detailed inspection reports covering a large number of carefully examined items in each inspection to determine plant compliance with the General Specifications. From this plant survey report, the National Field Director assigns eligibility for product grading status to the plant and places eligible plants on the official published list of approved plants.

Responsibilities

Makes borderline decisions and interpret complex quality system documentation as it relates to generic or program specific standards.
Selects representative samples of product for test weighing and for container and product quality examination, and prepares samples for transmittal to designated laboratory for chemical and bacteriological analysis.
Applies and interprets standards, contract specifications, and instructions in the inspection or grading of a variety of dairy products according to the degree and intensity of such factors as flavor, body, texture, color, finish and appearance.

Communicate effectively orally and in writing..
OR
