Grease Trap Inspector - Part-Time
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a regular, part-time position available for a grease trap inspector.
Responsibilities include inspecting grease traps and/or grease interceptors for cleanliness and operation; instructing customers on grease best practices procedures; and producing year-end reports. Travel to sites throughout the township is an essential function of this position; a valid driver's license is required.
Hours for this position are flexible and could be up to 30 hours per week during normal business hours; if future workload increases, the number of hours worked per week may also increase and/or this position could be converted to a regular full-time position. Working with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) as well as outdated design drawings (verbal and written), produce machine parts for mechanical assemblies and for modification and repair of existing equipment. Build engineering prototypes. Fabricate required tooling and fixtures. Assemble machines components into completed tools. Write and execute programs using "G" code for CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machinery. Using a hard model, create Solid Works programs that can go into CNC "G" code and manufacture parts.
Produce machines parts from detailed prints, engineering sketches and verbal instruction.
Setup and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders and related machine shop equipment. When required, design and fabricate special tools and fixtures in order to produce or handle unique parts. Setup special attachments to adapt equipment to perform special functions.
Plan sequence of machining and other machine shop operations to complete each job in an efficient manner.
Work with engineers on new designs and modifications recommending alternate designs or techniques to improve the final design or to reduce fabricating costs.
Apply trigonometry, geometry and other shop mathematics in the fabrication of parts, special tools and fixtures to determine proper machine setup and operation.
Perform bench work such as hand grinding, filing, stoning and high-end polishing.
Perform brazing, silver soldering, soldering, spot welding and heat-treating functions.
Use gage blocks, optical comparator, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments to check accuracy, wear and as an aid in troubleshooting.
Work with a variety of materials including but not limited to; stainless steels, tool steels, iron, brass, aluminum, plastics, phenolic resin and rubber.
Provide technical guidance to lower level employees as assigned.

The incumbent provides specific diversified components, tooling, and assemblies to meet engineering and testing requirements by planning and performing various complex and technical machine tool functions with limited supervision.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position requires sufficient professional Tool Room experience of all machinery such that skills can be employed to perform complex layouts and machine tool setups for the purpose of producing, adjusting, repairing, heat-treating tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and machine components of very tight tolerances. The incumbent must have an aptitude to learn Numeric Control (NC/CNC) or similar programming of complex machinery for the purpose of producing machined parts.
The position will primarily be responsible for test group machining support with limited supervision. Responsibilities include the ability to produce make-to-print items, assemble various tooling projects and electro-mechanical assemblies, and perform design/development on the fly without the aid of prints. The Test Group is a service organization; therefore, the incumbent must be able to setup and operate all Tool Room equipment with minimal (if any) assistance, must have a high level of communication to insure critical jobs are done as expected by the customer, and will be required to contribute to process/capital/tooling improvements necessary to maintain a viable Tool Room service.
