Summary:
The Customer Service Manager is responsible for leading an outstanding customer service team that supports both internal and external customers, processes customer orders and contributes to the growth of the Company. Incumbent must ensure that new and existing processes and procedures are implemented and used effectively and consistently by customer service representatives; will be the first point of customer contact for general inquiries including pricing, contract renewals, quoting, and resolution of customer inquiries. An important aspect of this role is to build and maintain strong business relationships with customers by providing prompt and accurate service, resulting in customer loyalty and sales growth. Significant interaction with other internal departments such as Sales, R&D, Production, Traffic, Equipment, Operations and QC is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage order receipt, processing and resolution of all related matters and issues
Ensure orders are processed in a timely manner
Manage and develop customer relationships via routine contact; receive and respond to sales inquiries from existing customers
Work closely with VP Global Sales and Marketing and the Sales team to support execution of strategic plans; refer new sales opportunities that arise through customer interactions
Oversee requests for price quotations, order and shipping verification and changes or cancellations from customers
Review and investigate customer discrepancies and RMAs
Coordinate with internal and external warehouses and plant personnel to ensure timely delivery and prompt handling of sales orders
Forward requests for technical information to appropriate company representatives for further response
Ensure each CSR is cross-trained to provide backup during vacations, sick leave, etc.
Oversee the training of CSRs on ERP system (Microsoft NAV) functionality and ensure it is being utilized to its fullest extent for maximum efficiency; suggest needed improvements
Provide guidance and coaching to CSRs as needed to resolve daily issues or problems that occur that impact external customers; administer performance reviews to all direct reports
Serve as a Super User for CRM system
Conduct monthly one-on-ones and team huddles
Qualifications/Competencies:

Education/Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Business or related field from an accredited university
- 10 years of experience in Customer Service with a minimum of 5 in a supervisory role

Knowledge of principles and processes of providing outstanding customer service, including, but not limited to, customer needs assessments, meeting/exceeding quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Summary Operates many pieces of equipment on anasphalt paving crew in order to construct roads by performing the followingduties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include thefollowing. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates screed, shuttle buggy, and/or other types of paving equipment.
Operates broom inorder to clear road of debris and/or preparation for laying asphalt.

Operates asphaltroller in order to compact asphalt.
Drives the aboveequipment in successive passes over terrain and/or asphalt to specified gradefollowing markings on grade stakes or hand signals.

1.Knows how to hook-up bucket,milling head, and hydraulic lines to machine.
2.Keeps equipment clean.
B. OperatesBroom:
1.Understands purpose of broom toensure quality and cleanliness of area.

C. OperatesAsphalt Roller:
1.Able to use different methods ofrolling and various rollers to assure a quality finished product and enhance the outcome of the job.Must know the following on all projects: mix type, target mix temperature, and depth of mix to be laid;compaction and profilograph requirements; width of mat and speed of paver; slope and/or crown in the road; rollingpatterns including compactionamplitude and frequency.
2.Maintains continual contact withthe paver and screed operators, paving foreman, and quality control/profilograph operator.
3.Assists the foreman in trainingcrew members and identifies potential candidates for training to advance on the crew.
4.Checks the water system: nozzles,covers for tanks, screens for the nozzles, and cleans the tips for the water spray. Checks for slack or looseness in steering andcheck the brakes to make sure theywill hold. When using a rubber-tire roller, checks tires for cuts, bulges, and irregularities and excessive or abnormalwear. Checks for proper inflation.
5.Safely parks equipment and assistswith other duties, such as shoveling or raking, to help with work flow.
6.At end of workday, parks equipmentin safe, secure location or accessible position for lowboy transport.
7.Carries or has access to toolsthat enable him to check tire pressure on pneumatic rollers, repair and replace water system nozzles, andgrease the machine; or tighten or adjust loose parts that do not require repair by maintenancepersonnel and grease machine as standards require.
8.Before operating, carefullyinspects equipment for evidence of physicaldamage or wear, leaks, looseplates or welds, and cracking or flaking of paint, specifically checkingrollers, pads and scrapers. Also checks tamper cover oncontrols for damage.
9.Checks all fluid levels and fillsas required in equipment maintenance manual. Checks for leaks and repairs them if possible, or callsfor maintenance personnel.
10.Checks rollers for debris, damageor excessive wear.
11.Completes and forwards operatorreports.
12.Helps maintain clean and orderlyjob site.
13.Acts as member of a team.
14.Performs other duties as assigned.
D. OperatesSpreader:
1.Select a paving speed thatbalances delivery, paver capacity and the compaction process and pave with few if any extended stops.
2.Works with screed operator inestablishing and maintaining the head of material.
3.Steers the paver holding to apre-determined reference.
4.Directs the truck driver to raisebed and exit when empty.
5.Utilize rapid, but smooth startand stops to help prevent end-of-load roughness. (If you have to stop)
6.Observe HMA being discharged intopaver hopper or insert for changes in characteristics of the mix.
7.Monitor paver for unusual noise orvibration. (Notify the proper person to take corrective actions).
8.Work with dump person to make suretruck does not bump paver, or let hopper run low.
9.Work as a team member.
10.Keeps equipment clean.
E. OperatesMilling Machine:
1.Understands purpose of machine andall safety requirements.
2.Observes machine for replacementof wear parts, conveyor belts, and cutting head.
3.Has knowledge at all times wherefellow employees are around machine.
4.Cleans machine after each use
5.Determines speed of machine toensure quality cut.
F. Operates ChipSpreader:
1.Understands purpose of machine toensure correct applications
2.Observes machine for replacementof wear parts
3.Stays in contact with foreman anddistributor operator at all times.
G. Operates RoadWidener:
1.Understands purpose of machine andall parts
2.Monitors spread rates of material.
3.Cleans equipment after each use.
4.Monitors and tracks belt daily.
H. OperatesScrews on Spreader:
1.Assists the foreman and paveroperator to thoroughly inspect thepaver and screed and to accuratelyfill out the weekly equipment operator inspection report, including hour meter readings.
2.Checks the screed with astring-line and straightedge before and during paving.
3.Erects the ski pole and installsthe electronics daily on the Paver.
4.Possesses total working knowledgeof operation and setup of the screed in manual or automatic setting. Makes sure that electronics are functioningproperly. Operates grade and cross slopeand calibrates the system.
5.Directs throughout the day, withthe paver operator, the daily paving pulls based on the paving plan. Communicates with the paveroperator to avoid stop and go paving and to ensure smooth transitions on stopping and taking offjoints. Works with the paver operator to establish and maintain the head of material within a plus or minusone-inch tolerance.
6.Assists the foreman in training ofcrew members and identifies potential candidates for training to advance on the crew.
7.Checks mat throughout the day toensure quality, appropriate depth and yield.
8.Assists paver operator inmaintaining the paver and screed.
9.With the paver operator, performsa daily detailed walk-around of the paver. Checks the push rollers and undercarriage (examiningconveyor chains); checks fluids; looks for hydraulic leaks, and checks the track and roller fordamage. Checks and greases machine, and fill the automatic greaser for every 4 days. Visuallychecks the screed condition, both the main screed and the extensions, for wear, indentions or holes.Cleans the deck and screed of debris every day.
