DAY 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Rotating 12 hour shifts, 36/48
In this position an employee collects and grinds all the scrap plastic for recycling.
Prepares sufficient supply of clean gaylords with bags inserted
Correctly segregates and identifies different materials such as OPS, PET or other plastics
Feeds grinder so as to prevent jams or other malfunctions due to improper handling
Able to clean any and all grinders and knows the proper operation and cleaning of the Torrit dust collectors
Understands and adheres to lockout/tagout procedures any time a machine is being cleaned or maintained
Properly cover, shrink-wrap and label filled gaylords after shredding
Insert the probe into the center of the Gaylord Caution should be used to not puncture the bottom of the bag or Gaylord and turn it side to side then remove it from the Gaylord and empty the contents of the probe by turning it upside down into a small plastic bag
If there are no signs of contamination, fold the inner bag to completely seal contents as best as possible
Any sign of contamination must be brought to the attention of Supervision and the Gaylord will be isolated from the main flow of the process and tagged with an On Hold tag
Wrap entire top area and any openings of Corrugated Gaylord with stretch wrap to secure cardboard sheet(s) and regrind flake. Wrap the Gaylord about 1/3 of the way down the sides to prevent contamination
Take completed Corrugated Gaylord to waiting area for Warehouse Operators to stage for transport
Moves gay-lords to the proper area for pick-up by Warehouse Operator.
Accurately and consistently performs administrative tasks such as properly weighing, tagging and recording of information
Practices good housekeeping including clutter-free work area and general cleaning; follows auditing standards as it pertains to employee

Must be able to fixture and design methods of manufacturing complex parts and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Physical demands of the job include working in a standing, sitting, or bent position for 10 hours/day and must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds with control, and be able to work near moving mechanical parts that create a moderately high noise level. The successful candidate must have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member, be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, be able to understand and perform to job-related standards, methods, and usage of inspection devices, read and understand blueprints, be able to locate, diagnose and correct problems in equipment and systems, possess knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, and be able to communicate through written and verbal means. To remove gating material, blend and grind casting surfaces to meet customer specifications.
1.Finish Grinding Objective: to grind and blend gating and defect areas on metal castings, and provide surface finishing within dimensional tolerances; to remove the minimum amount of metal necessary to remain within specified tolerances.
A. Reviews technique cards and blueprints to determine grinding requirements.
B. Determines stock removal requirements and tolerances for removal of gate material or other added metal stock.
C. Determines acceptance limits for grinding and blending defects.
D. Uses counter-balanced belt grinders, fixed grinders, held-held grinders, air tools, and hand tools including files and mirrors to grind and polish casting areas.
E. Wears required protective shields, clothing, wrist supports, glasses and gloves during grinding operations.
F. Visually inspects castings during grinding operations to assure compliance with specifications.
G. Makes dimensional measurements on specified parts to assure compliance with specifications; marks undersized areas for further inspection.

Plan sequence of operations, lay out work, set up and operate multiple types of gear grinders.
Perform machining operations from drawings, sketches, engineering drawings and oral instructions. Perform difficult and complex machining involving exacting and coordinated tolerances. Determine cutting tools to be used and methods of holding and aligning work. Improvise and adapt toolings, attachments and other machining adis. Perform progressive machining operations as required.

The Tool and Die Broach Grinder (TDM1) sharpens and smoothes cutting edge of tools such as broaches, drills and coordinates the broach usage for all departments to facilitate production or procurement of tooling by performing the following duties.
