SUMMARY: Set up and run Automatic punch press
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions as defined by the ADA, except those that begin with the word 'may".)
Set up and operate Automatic Punch Press.
Perform data collection.
Identify process, material and equipment problems.
Final audit, inspection packing
100% inspection
Move parts by hand using a hand truck.
Complete daily production paper work including move tickets, quality log sheets and safety checks.
Run miscellaneous equipment,
May operate power truck to push, pull, lift or move products, or materials.
Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and CBT, and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them.
Performs related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Operate Automatic punch press
Understand operation and function of machine.
Order dies from tool crib.
Final Audit Certified
Understand Quality criteria for parts produced.
Operate hand truck
Complete forms correctly and legibly.
Operate miscellaneous equipment,
Power truck license.
Ability to read and understand press cards, procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.
REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to forty pounds on a daily basis.
Ability to walk and move about, stoop and bend.

Normal or corrected vision necessary to read directions and closely examine parts.
Normal hearing in order to detect equipment and motor malfunctions.
Ability to pull, lift and transport gaskets to and from various locations within the assigned location.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors and temperature extremes.
Works regularly with trucks where carelessness can result in strains, sprains, cuts and chemical burns.

Running production on multiple centerless grinders
Make changes and adjustments to machine including dressing wheels.
Monitor production, move material, make machine adjustments
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Record quality measurements of part produced for in process inspection
Operator will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Education and Experience:
High school diploma
Minimum 3 years operating centerless grinders.
Fastener manufacturing a plus

- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routings, use shop math, and use various hand held measuring tools.
Physical demands and work environment:
Moderate to heavy physical effort required.

Grinder Operator 2Nd Shift
Job Description:
With supervision, is able to operate and do basic setups of Centerless Grinder equipment.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
1.Thorough knowledge of SPC procedures and requirements pertaining to toolroom activities.
2.Ability to use all gages and gaging methods in the department working to .001 tolerances.
3.Assures high quality tooling is made to specifications.
A. Tooling may not always be accompanied by print. When this occurs assures that tooling is made to the "go by tool" or instructions.
4.Maintains required quality levels and does not exceed scrap or discrepant material limitations.
PRODUCTIVITY REQUIREMENTS
1.Ability to grind dowel pins to customer specifications.
2.Ability to read all manufacturing and tooling blueprints and select and prepare necessary tools to meet specifications.
3.Follows schedules and prioritizes duties based on productivity requirements.
4.Demonstrates ability to make sound decisions in all work assignments.
5.Performs all duties as assigned by supervisor or leadperson.
6.Follows all safety rules and regulations.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE/SAFETY/HOUSEKEEPING
1.Makes minor repairs and assists maintenance in major repairs.
2.Provides preventive maintenance on machines including
coolant changes and greasing at proper time intervals.
3.Observes toolroom equipment for proper operation and reports
problems to supervisor.
4.Follows all company safety rules and OSHA regulations and wears
all prescribed safety equipment and guards in carrying out work assignments.
Reports any hazardous conditions to supervisor.
5.Ensures machines are cleaned out thoroughly after use and
floors, work benches, tool carts and gage tables are kept neat and orderly.
Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
1.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2.Displays team concept in getting along with fellow employees.
3.Thorough knowledge of all grinding equipment.
4.Ability to use all gages and gaging techniques.
5.Good problem solving skills and mathematical skills
6.Knowledge of TS16949 and ISO14001 requirements.

Grinder Operator
This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that grinds ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
The Grinder Operator is responsible to inspect equipment, parts, and blades to verify they are in good repair and sanitary, prior to set up. Must be able to read and interpret work instructions.
Must be able to accurately identify all raw materials used in the grinding process. Assist in the accurate verification of proper lot number usage in accordance with lots specified on formulas. Read, comprehend, and accurately perform any written typed instructions for an item formulation.
Must be able to use basic math skills when completing production paperwork. Complete all QA checks and documentation for the raw area. Perform appropriate transactions using RF terminal or scanner.
Responsible for shift change communication. Responsible for controlling losses of product. Wash down equipment for product changeovers and discard trash in the proper container.
Maintain a clean and organized work area. Box combos of raw materials as required. Insure that rework is used in each load as specified.
Inform proper warehouse personnel in a timely manner of all raw materials needed for the grinding process. Position may require employee to maintain a forklift license to help move product. Must be willing and able to lift up to 80lbs. as required.

Must have held a position for six (6) months within the past twelve (12) months with the same employer. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required

Grinder Machine Operator
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
Be able to read the daily schedule and determine batch sequence. Assure the proper raw meat and plate setting is being used according to the work order.
Ensure the required meat is provided to the grinder and move ground meat from the grinder by forklift. Validate and verify weights. Inspect grinder plates every hour for possible foreign material.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Be able to set-up and teardown equipment. Complete all required production documents and submit to supervisor.
Report any issues related to maintenance or quality of the product to supervisor. Enter all required information into the Plant.View QA System
Requirements
Less than high school diploma and one to two years related experience and or training Plant View, SAP and EIM experience preferred. Ability to operate equipment using a touch screen Must be forklift certified or have one to two years prior forklift operating experience Must have at least 6 months continuous work history with the same employer in the last 12 months.

Function
Set up and operate automated and non-automated external, internal, surface or centerless grinding machines to perform routine and repetitive rough and finish grinding operations.
Typical Responsibilities
Follow standard grinding practices, ordinary drawings, specifications, operation sheets and specific instructions to perform a variety of routine production operations to grind I.D., O.D., radii, tapers, grooves, recesses, threads, faces and shoulders on all assigned types and forms of materials.
Use all standard faceplates, centers, arbors, fixtures, etc., as applicable to make routine set-ups.
Use specified wheel, adjust pre-determined feed and speed, and dress and shape wheel to obtain optimum stock removal and specified finish.
Block, clamp, and shim to hold and align work piece and prevent springing, distortion or breakage.
Maintain close tolerances, limited interrelated dimensions, concentricity, and etc. per production requirements.
Perform other related work of a comparable or lower skill level, including deburring, polishing and part marking.
Maintain quality standards by checking work visually and with basic measuring instruments; record data manually or electronically as required.
Refer all questionable conditions or recurring difficulties to Working Leader or Supervision.
Perform operator checklist as required and comply with all EH&S procedures.
As required segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our team.
The CNC Machinist will have responsibility for the setup and operation of miscellaneous computerized numerical control (CNC) and/or manual machines. This includes primarily CNC grinders as well as mills, lathes, drills, grinders, hone, lap, deburr, etc. The Machinist will also ensure that machines are properly tooled and may be required to make recommendations to modify programs as appropriate.
Additionally, the CNC Machinist will:
1.Set-up and operation of miscellaneous computerized numerical control (CNC) and/or manual machines, including grinders, mills, lathes, drills, grinders, hone, lap, deburr, etc.
2.Machine and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
3.Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
4.Participate in establishing manufacturing methods, including machine, test, material and tooling requirements, to ensure parts are machined according to engineering tolerances/specifications.
5.Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications. Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
6.Provide input and recommendations for selecting, installing, and adjusting CNC and manual machine cutting tools to ensure they are consistent with type and size of material being machined.
7.Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.
8.Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
9.Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
10. Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
11. Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
12. Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell.
13. Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
High School or GED and a minimum of 2 years of machining experience. Reads, understands and correctly interprets blueprints, planning and manufacturing specifications.
Demonstrated working knowledge of machining and/or testing related mathematical concepts. Has basic knowledge of inspection requirements and techniques. Rough burrs machined parts. May train, provide guidance and assist in developing lower skill level team members.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
(Note - must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs. -U.S. citizenship is required
