The candidate will operate CNC and manual machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders. Must be able to interpret prints, manufacture to desired tolerances, and inspect parts to satisfy all aspects required. Must also be responsible for the quality of his workmanship, and have a thorough understanding of required tooling and processes to perform the duties of this position. Absolutely must have own tools. This position does NOT run production lots.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned grind room operations.

Porous Surface Operator II (634797)
This position is responsible for performing maintenance on and operating vacuum furnaces for sintering of fiber metal/porous-coated product, setup and operation of CNC equipment, performing the Porocyl mixing operation, bead/grit blasting, using a variety of hand tools for finishing operations, operating in-cell cleaning and pickling equipment, operating various sizes of hydraulic presses, and performing in-line quality checks for all products flowing through the department.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC equipment and provide bench support for porous processing operations.
Program system controllers, fabricate load thermocouples, and build funace loads of product and perform set-ups on CNC equipment.
Support the cellular work area by performing cellular functions as needed to maintain production schedules.
Complete appropriate paperwork, analyze data, and keep detailed furnace cycle records.
Performs non-destructive testing (NDT) and other inspection processes as necessary to insure product is free of defects

The Gear Grinder Operator is responsible to set up, maintain and operate CNC O.D. grinders, manual O.D. grinders, I.D. grinder and honing machines. The individual will perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program.

In this function you will:
Perform set up, which includes selection, mounting, balancing and truing wheel, securing work holding device/work rotating device setting speeds, feeds and drive dogs.
