ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the proficient set-up of Thread Roll machines including but not limited to:
a. Review router to determine setup, tooling and specifications of parts
b. Perform set-up and operation of machines effectively and within specified time frames utilizing proper heating temperatures
c. Ability to troubleshoot and find resolutions
d. Provide information for Inspector evaluation and validation of quality
e. Perform proper die speeds, die selection and rolling cycles in order to meet specifications
f. Utilization of Statistical Process Control (SPC) as needed
g. Utilization of AIC Job Clock System as needed
h. Adhere to all AIC company policies
i. Other duties as assigned
In addition to the above, Operators are to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices. Management may change responsibilities and/or assignments to meet the business needs without prior notice. AIC follows an At-Will Employment practice.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Certificate from a technical school; high school diploma or GED and 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1.Language: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to verbally communicate effectively.
2.Mathematical: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

Face Grinder Set Up And Operate
Sets up and operates various face grinding equipment to remove turning stock from faces and flats, and to grind notches to specified tolerances on a variety of parts.
- Working from prints and other specifications, performs the work elements necessary to set up face grinders. Obtains
required fixtures, rings, or templates, changes grinding wheels, changes and/or resets machine rails, plate guides, and
hopper chutes, set speed and feed rates, etc. as set up requires.
- Runs required number of test pieces and makes subsequent machine adjustments to obtain "first piece approval" from Floor
Loads parts to fixtures, rings, machine rails, or operates hopper unit to automatically feed components into the grinder.
Grinds specified surfaces, manually or automatically as required. Unloads, demagnetizes, oils, and asides parts after
grinding as necessary.
- Uses a variety of gages and other measuring devices. Gages parts, in-process or finished, as necessary, and makes machine
adjustments to maintain specified tolerances and finishes.
Dresses grinding wheel, as required, to maintain finish and print size tolerances and changes wheels when necessary.

These individuals will set up and operate thread rolling machines and auxiliary equipment to produce high quality fasteners while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality, and housekeeping metrics.
Set-up thread rolling machines and auxiliary equipment (including vibratory feeders, ZEBRA equipment, and process monitors) per drawings and specifications.
Operate thread rolling machines and auxiliary equipment.
Perform daily maintenance on thread rolling machines and auxiliary equipment.
Perform quality checks and document (where applicable), using simple gages, precision measuring devices and visual inspection.
Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment). Use proper Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
Manually handle parts from work-in-process containers to shipping containers. Move containers as required using pallet jacks and/or fork trucks.
Prepare and maintain accurate records (route sheets and count sheets).
Clean equipment and keep work area neat and orderly.
Participate as a Trainer when necessary.
To work in any other area of the plant by the request of your supervisor.

As a Batcher in our Dry Blend Department you will be responsible for batching raw materials in preparation for the blending process and assist within the batching room.
In this role you will:

To operate assigned centerless grinder machines and or end grinder to produce quality products at the established rates of production. The duties and responsibilities of this position cover all phases of set-up, operation, testing, minor maintenance, machine cleanliness and area housekeeping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Make all set-ups in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Obtain the correct diameter gage pins for the work being processed.
Gage and adjust fixture height.
Maintenance (dressing) of grinding and regulating wheel, to assure the production of quality parts.
Conform to the process tolerances using appropriate gages to accurately determine roller diameters.
Visually examine rollers being produced to determine that surface conditions are in accordance with guidelines and specifications.
Report all machine and/or production problems to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Cooperate with the quality assurance technician and make corrections as warranted to assure quality parts.
Make the required production checks, chart at established intervals and take appropriate action for any out of control conditions.
Allow only a minimum amount of parts to collect in the pan before checking and emptying the pan.
Assure the machine and work area are clean for incoming shift.
Minimum qualifications are based upon a combination of training, experience and education. Mathematical ability is required (defined as having a working knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Mechanical ability and centerless grinding experience are preferred.
Must be able to meet physical requirements as established by RBC precision products – Bremen.
Must successfully complete a minimum of a 90-day introductory period.
