Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the servicing, cleaning, and maintenance of the department's equipment. The Quality Control Technician stands as the filter that ensures only the best and most production-ready equipment ships out to our clients. To guarantee this, technicians should understand that they alone determine the completion and functionality of gear/kits and assume complete responsibility for the equipment's performance. It is a point of pride for Adorama to boast such low percentages of equipment failure, which is only made possible by the arduous Quality Control standards that the technician upholds.
Responsibilities and Duties
The intake, examining, labeling, servicing, and storing of returned department specific equipment
Checking and completing of equipment and kits as needed, ensuring that only kits that are ready to ship are labeled as such
Reporting of any damage found to the Repair Technician as soon as it is discovered
Respond to priority needs of Equipment Packers to facilitate on-time delivery of gear to the customer
Assist customers with in-house gear related questions/demos
Upholding of operational standards
Other responsibilities as determined by management.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong Knowledge of basic lighting equipment categories (HMI, Tungsten, Fluorescent, LED & Strobe), familiarity with grip and basic electrical knowledge.
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills
