ABB is seeking an Hourly Assembler to join our manufacturing plant in Jefferson City, Missouri location. Primary scope for this role is to manufacture of single phase and three phase padmount distribution transformers.
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Steel fabrication, welding, painting, internal electrical transformer assembly, component marshalling, core coil assembly,coil winding, external transformer assembly, cabinet assembly.
Operation of machinery & equipment used in the heavy-electrical manufacturing, as well as operating fork trucks.
Perform additional tasks as required.
- A minimum of High School Diploma or GED and 3 months of manufacturing work experience OR vocational education in applicable manufacturing areas such as: electrical, mechanical and/or welding at an accredited vocational/technical institution.
Previous manufacturing, welding or electrical assembly experience is desirable, especially with the production of power-oriented products.
