We are currently looking for experienced thread roll setup operators to setup and operate thread headed blanks.
Compiles dimensions of stock, sequence of machining operations, and type and size of thread from charts and specifications
Selects, installs, and adjusts threading die, die cutters, chamfering tools, feed grips, pressure tripping mechanism, cams, gears and pulleys.
Sets feed rails, parts bowl, and roller sorter to ensure quality parts.
Adjusts speed control knobs to synchronize transfer and ejection of stock with machine action.
Selects correct SEMS components (washers) and loads into machine.
Complies with all safety regulations and TS161949 policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for all activities associated with running a Flexo or Rotary Die Cutter including: setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
Sets up and runs the Load Former, feeding the machine
Reviews job tickets, print cards, and quality inspection paperwork with machine Captain
Sets up and operates the pre-feeder.
Reads job order and mounts specified rubber print plate and printing dies on cylinder.
Installs cylinder on shaft, and secures assembly in bed of press.
Fills dye fonts with prescribed inks or dyes.
Moves levers to engage dye rolls, adjusting position of cylinder to print two or more colors without overlapping or smearing previously printed area.
Starts press, adjusting speed, tension, and alignment of printing plate as necessary.
Cuts sample of printed material from end of printed roll and inspects for imperfections, such as blurred or off-center impressions.
Cleans rubber plate, cylinder, and dye fonts, using solvent, and lubricates press as needed, using grease gun.
May mix inks or dyes to produce desired colors.
Sets up rails, print, and die cut section on machinery accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
Inspects all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
Ensures all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
Checks anilox rolls for damage.
Maximizes the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
Cross trains and assist Helpers, Stackers, and Bundlers with job duties on the machine.
Cross-train on other machines.
Completes necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data,
Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data. Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Must be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
Switches duties with stacker as necessary.
Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
Reports any issues to Supervisor.

Packaging Machine Operator Intern
Packaging Room Intern is a developmental position, designed to complement a two year degree in areas such as electrical or mechanical engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical, or related fields, by incorporating critical hands on experience as a machine operator into the education and applied training for classroom concepts and technical competencies. This program provides training and job experience for students with demonstrated classroom success, and will include both classroom and floor training. The first phase of the program will focus on understanding the manufacturing environment and supporting a Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) in daily job responsibilities. After demonstrated learning by the intern, the responsibilities and skill development will expand to include additional packaging room tasks and functions (dependent on candidate and duration of internship).
Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Packaging Room Intern with Frito-Lay is required to perform the following essential functions during the course of a normal workday:
Attend necessary classroom and floor training for good manufacturing practices, machine operation, and safety.
Support PMOs in the following job responsibilities:
Safeguard product prior to packaging to maintain cleanliness and quality standards.
Change and splice new film rolls (lift up to 50 lbs) for packaging.
Obtain rolls of film from warehouse and transport to casing area.
Identify and clear product or box jams and faults.
Check that bag is properly coded, dated and sealed with a minimum amount of wasted product and supplies.
Support SKU and or product changeovers, including inspecting conveyors and scales.
Keep machines and designated work area clean and safe.
Clean and sanitize lines during changeovers from one product to another.
Set-up, calibration, and operation of packaging machines with high efficiency and accuracy.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines, to include cleaning and changing knives/blades, pull-belts, tape machines, and rollers.
Troubleshoot packing machines and product lines to maintain performance standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be currently enrolled in a qualifying degree program at a participating College or school, or have recently graduated from such a program.
Preferred completion of at least 1 semester in approved educational program.
1 year commitment to Frito-Lay internship required.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine metal fabrication related duties in support of the parts production process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working from drawings, route sheets, charts, blueprints and factory work orders incumbent will setup and operate all functions of assigned machines & equipment with minimum assistance. Incumbent will select the appropriate bits, wheels, machine speeds, punches and dye tolerances and feed rates.
Will sets dyes, locating devices, stops, clamps, guides, and guards for the safe and efficient operation of the machines & equipment. Will adjust machine settings for various material thicknesses, temper, clamp placements and work order requirements.
Responsible for inspecting own parts as well as those of others using tools such as tape measures, scales, calipers and possibly various computerized measuring devices.
Must be able to read and complete production orders, QA and manufacturing documentation as required.
Performs secondary operations, such as cleaning and debarring, to manufactured parts as required.
Operates overhead hoists and forklifts to move material and necessary equipment to perform machine operations. Will arrange parts as needed for production and deliver raw stock, partially completed work, and completed jobs to appropriate storage or production areas.
Records machinery operation variances from normal settings and results. Completes basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Performs visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling and correct positioning of safety guards.
Keeps department supplied with consumables such as cartons, skids, tote pans, etc. Cleans area as required. Assists other machine operators as required.
Incumbent is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s).
Required to follow Corporate Safety guidelines and may participate in audits, incident investigations, etc. as needed.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Completed High School Diploma or GED preferred.
One (1) to three (3) years of related machine operating experience required – equivalent education background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
Requires a thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures.
Requires a basic understanding of producing & inspecting precision components.
Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, factory work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Must be able to use various precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, calipers, dial indicators, protractors, and tape measures to ensure components have been manufactured to tight tolerances.
Required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds.
A general knowledge of personal computers in a Windows environment preferred.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Types of machinery will depend on area of assignment but may include: shear, brake press, drill press, Strippit, NC machines, Verson press, roll-forming machine, band saw, drill press, angle lines, 60-ton press, plasma plate punch, straightener, stretch-forming machines, seam welder, planisher, three-hole punch, knuckler and spin lathe.
