Barista/Cashier For Common Grounds Coffee Shop
Opening for Spring Quarter*
Bellingham Technical College is establishing a pool of qualified candidates for the current academic year to work as Baristas (Food Service Workers) in the BTC Common Grounds Coffee Shop located on campus. Assignment begins April 1, 2019 and through June, 2019.
These are temporary, hourly assignments. Hours are not guaranteed and assignments are based on the needs of the department. Reports to the Director of Enterprise Services, with additional direction from the Food Service Manager/Chef.
Work schedule: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine barista work in cashiering, serving food and preparing beverages;
- Perform clean-up activities;
- Cashier experience;
- Barista training a plus;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Possession of, or eligible for, a Food Hander's permit (In Whatcom County, the Health Department offers the training & test online at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov. It takes about an hour and cost is $10);
Provide excellent customer service.
Experience preferred but not required.
Physical Work Environment:
Physically perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation to include, but not be limited to: working in an environment that requires operating equipment/machinery where reaching high and stooping low, bending and twisting, and manual dexterity are necessary functions. Requires the ability to lift and carry on a regular basis: tables, chairs, and other items weighing as much as fifty pounds. Requires being mobile on your feet 100% of the assigned shift; working with strong cleaning agents and hot water are also required. Supplemental Information
$12.00 per hour. Earns paid sick leave in accordance with Washington State law; no additional benefits.

Finalist(s) in position handling cash will be subject to a pre-employment background check and employment is contingent on passing a criminal history background check satisfactory to the college.

Cyber-attacks against institutions are growing considerably in quality, quantity, and complexity, targeting both private industry and national critical infrastructure. However, a holistic approach across all security disciplines is required to ensure that these are mitigated successfully. The modern Chief Security Office develops and operates tools that are used by internal groups for protecting information, understanding internal systems and networks in order to prevent attacks, and analyzing information to determine whether the organization is under attack.
What will you be doing?
Conduct intelligence investigations and extrapolate adversary tools, techniques and procedures.
Analysis of technical information to generate actionable intelligence for the prevention of attacks against Barclays.
Works as part of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of information security and privacy response services to the global retail and commercial enterprise, providing cyber intelligence analysis capabilities.
Support the proactive hunt team and provide threat actor profiles to support hunt missions
Analysis of multiple data feeds to provide timely, actionable intelligence and reporting
Support evaluation of tools, services and processes to ensure the technical intelligence team has the required capabilities to deliver defense.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of working experience.
1 years of working experience in any of the following:
Cyber Kill Chain
Intelligence Driven Defense
Certification in at least one of the following:
GIAC Certified Incident Hander
GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst
GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware
Skills that will help you in the role:
Understanding of modern Cyber Security threats: Espionage, Cyber Crime, Hacktivism and Insider Threat.
Knowledge of recent enterprise security network architectures and the principles of network security.
Digital Forensic, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting experience.
