Mold Maker II
Works in a fast paced collaborative team environment with an NPD Engineer and a Tooling Engineer to review and refine part and mold designs, and program and operate all tool room equipment including a high speed 5-axis CNC machining center to build new fast track plastic injection molds in 8 weeks or less.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews the fast track mold design and provides feedback to the Tooling Engineer to improve manufacturability and robustness of the mold
Works closely with the NPD Engineer and Tooling Engineer to assess project improvement opportunites, make decisions, and complete projects on time and under budget
Utilizes advanced CAM programming and unattended machining to support on schedule completion of in-house fast track mold builds
Plans, sets-up and performs machine and bench operations necessary to make, alter or repair molds, jigs, fixtures, dies, and gauges of complex design.
Utilizes CAM software to efficiently and accurately transform computer designs into tooling.
Operates tool room equipment in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company policies and procedures as well as industry standards.
Independently coordinates priorities and details of work to be performed with supervisor and the Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
Utilizes ERP system to obtain information for performing job duties and to provide feedback on work performed.
Provides input into design reviews for new tooling and repair or enhancement of existing tooling.
Investigates and recommends processes or designs for repairing or enhancing tooling.
Provides input into tool room equipment upgrades, additions, and deletions.
Available to work on weekends, holidays or off hours to support business needs
All other duties as assigned either written or verbal.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate's (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, a journeyman level Tool & Die Maker with 10 years experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
A high degree of mechanical and technical skill and a comprehensive knowledge of tooling and injection molding processes is required.
May perform a variety or operations at a high skill or a wide variety of operations at a moderate skill.
Familiar with injection molding design and fabrication technology.
Ability to work from blueprints, CAD models, diagrams or samples to very close tolerances.e
Must be able to successfully use inspection devices (i.e. microscopes, calipers, gauge pins, optical comparator, etc.)
Must possess good interpersonal communication skills to interface with engineers, manufacturing personnel and other Mold Makers.

The Carbide Die Maker layout and plans sequence of operations for fabrication and assembly of carbide dies. Troubleshoots setup heading parts and performs reworking of dies; Process methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

Under the direction of the Assembly Shop Foreman, the mechanic assembles bundles and components used in shell and tube heat exchangers, dismantles old exchangers and /or bundles for retubing and/or repair, and test bundles and exchangers to determine suitability for use.
Plans layout of baffles.
Cuts baffles using proper equipment.
Assembles tie rods and spacers on the bundle skeleton.
Hangs the stationary tube sheets, poke tubes into baffle assembly.
Rolls tubes placed into tube sheets and baffles.
Install bundle into shell if required.
Performs hydrostatic testing of assembled units.
Loads completed units onto flatbed trucks.
Makes tube hole ID records, hydro test results and dimensional records of exchangers.
Performs assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices.
Performs internal quality control by applying acceptable boilermaker standards.
Sets up and performs jobs based on shop practices and procedures.

Master Experience Maker - (H.19.16)
The Master Experience Maker - Customer Care responds to customer inquiries through all of our channels regarding complaints, problems and concerns surrounding the store experience. Responsibilities also include problem recognition, analysis, research, isolation and resolution/escalation steps, resolving basic problems, referring more complex problems to supervisors, Managers the Operations team, logging all problem issues into the problem management system for proper and accurate tracking and reporting of issues and ensuring high levels of customer service are provided.

The Master Experience Maker in the Michaels Customer Care Call Center will:
Handle customer complaints via call, email, chat, Social, letters, and customer store escalation.
Provide support in an up-beat and friendly manner.
Log all calls into the appropriate systems including detailed descriptions, history, and resolution of issues.
Provide professional, timely and efficient follow-up by providing status updates and resolution information.
Provide on-the-job training to new or less knowledgeable Customer Care agents.
Maintain working knowledge of products, systems processes.
Escalation point for customer care calls, emails and/or chats
Expected to utilize opportunities to de-escalate high emotion situations in speaking with customers, in order to be able to address resolve the issues they are encountering
Work as a liaison between agents and stores/district managers in order to assist in resolving customer issues
Work with business partners to make them aware of potentially global issues, as well as for help resolving the problem for the customer
Call Center Queue Management:
Works with the leadership team to actively monitors the queue to ensure SLAs are met
Perform call center opening and/or closing duties as assigned shift requires, including some supervisory duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Misc other duties as assigned
As a more experienced member of the team, the Master Experience Maker should help with training newer team members in systems, processes knowledge in order to equip them to answer customer inquiries complaints.
In working with the Supervisor, Operations team Managers, Master Experience Makers should help identify training needs for the wider team can be utilized to assist in leading refresher training as needed.
Partners with the leadership team to develop and maintain accurate Customer Care procedures.
Minimum level of formal education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
c. Special certification or technical skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Possess highly effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
d. Minimum years experience required:
- 1-3 years of previous Support Center/ Call Center experience, preferably in a large retail environment.
e. Type of experience the job requires:
Exceptional customer service, listening, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve (and follow up) issues over the phone in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrates leadership and interpersonal skills
Must be open/able to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings and sometime holidays
