TE Connectivity's Mold Makers apply knowledge of mold design and construction to the construction, conditioning, modification, repair and maintenance of injection and transfer molds, gauges, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures. In some instances they may fabricate new molds by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specifications. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
This is a Weekend Night Shift position that qualifies for a substantial shift differential. Employees work 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Prepare molds for production
This consists at times of performing part number change-overs from assembly drawings, cleaning, assembly, repair, and trouble shooting and performing visual inspection on molded product to assure good mold maintenance was performed.
Inspect and prepare tooling to be installed into mold which means being proficient in all shop equipment (excluding wire EDM) and heat treating techniques.
Disassemble mold tooling for cleaning and repair. Cleaning includes disassembly of mold, cleaning each piece of tooling and inspecting for wear and damage. Details are reworked or replaced as needed
Change over molds which include changing out details to change product part configuration
Fits and assembles component parts into mold cavities and verifies dimensions, alignment and clearance
Analyzes and corrects complex mold malfunctions to assure mold will produce acceptable parts
May perform welding to make repairs to mold tooling, mold frames, and other mold parts requiring a fine blend of surface metal that would not distort the finished product
Hand fitting of mold tooling
Education / Experience:
Completion of Accredited Apprenticeship program is strongly preferred
Minimum of 4 years' experience in mold making or mold maintenance preferred
Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
Ability to operate milling machines, surface grinders and related shop equipment
Ability to operate precision measurement devices
Knowledge of tool design and understanding of fit and function of mold components
Understanding of Plastics and mold tooling
Good communication and ability to multi task and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties is strongly needed
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 54 lbs
Must be able to push a minimum of 77 lbs
Must be able to pull a minimum of 66 lbs

Flexographic Plate Maker - 2Nd Shift
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABLILITIES & RESULTS
Responsible for reading and understanding job orders. Confirm understanding of all job specs and ensure there are no discrepancies in job documents.
Manage the liquid plate making process, including reading and understanding production order forms, material types and associated exposure times, location of plates, and complete COA forms.
Ensure production back logs do not occur. Correctly manage your time between Exposure units, processors, and dryer/LF/PX units. Understand the correct workflows so that you can help everyone to be more productive.
Reference and adhere to quality control SOP's. Perform all quality control tasks to ensure quality standards are met. Report any quality issues or concerns to management immediately.
Track start and end times of production through MySGS One to ensure proper billing.
Assist shift Plate Finishers with tasks as needed, including monitoring and processing plates on Reclaim, Washout, Rinse, Dryer, Post Exposure and Light Finishing units.
Maintain a spotless clean production environment by keeping all floors and equipment clean throughout the day and at the end of shift.
Ensure all job orders are organized, accounted for and complete.
Communicate the status of any incomplete orders during shift changes with managers and peers by ensuring all incomplete orders have an assigned missing plate form.
Prepare and complete job orders for shipping. Reference shipping SOP's for client specific shipping instructions.
Keep work area organized and clean.
Practice and comply with EH&S policies to maintain a safe work environment.
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Trade school certificate in Graphic Arts/Printing or equivalent experience.
Preferably 3 years experience working in a Flexo Plate Department.

The Guest Experience Maker or Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing efficient and exceptional service to a wide variety of individuals on a daily basis; including, guests, potential guests, vendor partners and La Quinta team members.
A key responsibility of this position is to create Here For You experiences which leave our guests and potential guests feeling assured, settled in and optimistic about La Quinta. These experiences can be delivered through a variety of activities, including: welcoming our guests, extending recognition to loyal guests and military members, providing an accurate and efficient check in/check out process, promoting the La Quinta Returns program, assisting guests during their stay with questions or concerns and providing exceptional service to individuals contacting the hotel via phone. Tool & Die Maker
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate various machines consistent with the Tool & Die trade including but not limited to Lathes, Mills, Drills, Saws, Shapers, Die repair and rework, etc. in order to produce required product from prints, samples, and sketches.
Reviews prints in order to plan sequence of operations required for job.
Selects proper materials to be used including type of steel, machines, tooling, gauging instruments, etc.
Uses various types of gauging and measuring instruments in order to check and dimensionally verify the
part being used.
Assists in the design, manufacture and development of new tools or processes working closely with
Engineering and other department personnel.
Troubleshoots and develops corrective actions for tooling or process related problems on production
Qualified journeyman card holder, must have completed and provide evidence of having completed an approved apprentice program or have a minimum of 8 year's experience and be able to provide evidence of such.
High school diploma required.
Must possess own tools including but not limited to micrometers, depth mics, inside mics,
calipers, indicators, radius gages, etc.
