Job Description BAE Systems is looking for well-qualified professionals to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the readiness and sustainment of the USAF ICBM program. The ICBM System Program Office must ensure a safe, secure and reliable MM III weapon system as required by the war fighter (Air Force Global Strike Command) through 2030.
This contract augments organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs. Responsibilities Include: 1. Supports Integrated Product Team efforts by contributing to systems engineering, electrical engineering, or logistical tasks. 2. Provides recommended solutions for bonding, shielding, electromagnetic, and nuclear hardness applications in accordance with applicable MIL-STDs. 3.
Performs problem solving in areas that require expertise and knowledge in areas of specialization and related fields. 4. Evaluates plans, reports, requirements, and criteria from a technical perspective for a variety of technical activities and recommends alternatives as required to comply with customer and company obligations. 5. Assists in the development of solutions to specific problems; establishes technical approach, selects and pursues courses of action necessary to explore subject area and obtain required results. Assist with testing and test planning.

Required Skills and Education
Required Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics, from an ABET accredited college/university
Required Experience: 15 years experience in Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) engineering in various aspects of system design, configuration control, hardness assurance, etc (a software emphasis is not acceptable; must be power systems, or electromagnetics, or other electrically-based or EM-based area). Experience with EMI / EMC / EMP mitigation.
Strong background in EMP coupling to systems, analysis of effects from burnout to upset and familiarity with MIL-STD-2169, - 188-125-1, -464, -461.
Obtain a U.S. Government security clearance during the first few months of employment (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite; a current clearance is preferred, but not required)
Must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative and an ability to organize daily tasks with little or no supervision
Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with customers, team members, external vendors, and various levels of management
Must have experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in and experience with Spice or Microcap or similar circuit modeling

JOB DUTIES:
- Conduct nuclear hardness & survivability analyses, tests, and design, with an emphasis on electrical/magnetic analysis of hardness problems + Ensure electromagnetic effects are considered in weapon system design, development, and sustainment + Analyze electromagnetic effects (MIL-STD-461, EMP, lightning, ESD, HPM), ionizing radiation (gamma, neutron, and x-ray), and mechanical effects + Apply electrical principles to wide range of problems, including power, controls, RF, and circuit analysis + Use simulation tools for electromagnetic and radiation analyses, including PSPICE, Microcap, MATLAB, and ANSYS modeling suites (or similar)
BS in electrical engineering or related degree and 5 years of experience in activities directly related to job duties described above (3 years with Masters)
Experience performing EM effects testing, planning, and report generation
- Experience with the simulation software packages listed above (or similar) + Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance (or higher), and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance

Bearing Quality Inspector
Support the Elliott Quality Management System by performing various quality control inspection functions. This will be primarily accomplished within the Bearing Manufacturing Center, where the Quality Inspector will record NDE results and dimensional inspections of the finished manufactured components.
Reads and interprets work orders, assembly and detail drawings, special instructions, process specifications, standard procedures, material specifications, etc.
Uses a variety of measuring devices to inspect material for conformance to drawing tolerances, quality standards, and completeness of the operation.
Performs in-process and final NDT of manufactured components as needed.
Initiates Scrap and Rework Reports.
Maintains documentation for shop and inspection instrumentation calibration.
Uses shop mathematics.
Stamps and identifies material which has been inspected.
Receives instructions from the Quality Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.
Contacts Manufacturing Supervisor regarding any irregularities.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows all safety rules.
Maintains and initiates documentation and data as required.
Plans daily inspection requirements based on previous day's backlog and other urgent requirements.
Inspects material as required in the receiving / inspection area.
Reviews material test reports from suppliers as required for compliance to the Elliott specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

7. Route product for re-work.
8. Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.

10. Ensure finished product is packaged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation.
11. Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
12. Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality.
13. Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
14. Make recommendations regarding safe working methods.
15. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
16. Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.

Educational Qualifications • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or in a related discipline. • High school diploma or equivalent Principal Tasks • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of TESCO. • Know and understand TESCO’s Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. • Must understand and conduct dimensional inspections of Specification API 5B, API 5B1 and API 7-2 thread connections (8rd, 10rd, Buttress and Rotary Shoulder connections) • Read and Understanding Engineering Drawings and Bill of Materials (B.O.M.) • Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, Datum Feature, Concentricity, Circularity, Circularity Runout, Total Runout, Full Indicator, Perpendicularity, Angularity, Position, Cylindricity, Parallelism and any other reference of (GD&T) documented on TESCO’s engineering drawing • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability • Conduct dimensional inspections of TESCO’s products are required by the engineering drawing, procedures and work instructions. • Metallic Hardness Inspection Bench and Portable to ASTM E10 and ASTM E18 Standards • Experience with testing, measuring, and monitoring equipment to conduct dimensional inspections in accordance with TESCO’ engineering drawings • Carry out final inspection of parts and documents per applicable codes and TESCO standards prior to shipping parts. • Make decisions regarding giving Supplier approval to ship un-inspected parts to TESCO for onsite inspection. • Complete breakdown documentation of inspections for customer units in conjunction with operations • Independently audit or evaluate existing/new vendor facilities on behalf of Tesco Corporation as required by the QA/QC supervisor, Quality Manager, the Sr. Manager • Advise Quality Control Supervisor and Business Unit, Purchasing group of any Non-Conformances (NCR’s) found. • General Inspection tasks as required by the QA/QC Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager, the Sr.Manager Aftermarket Sales and Distribution or the U.S.B.U. Manager, Supply Chain Competencies Required For Effective Performance • Driving record which authorizes driving for TESCO. • Work independently with little to no supervision. • Use and read of:
Dial calipers, OD / ID micrometers, radius gages, weld fillet gages, and other inspection tools. • Knowledge of codes: ASME, ASTM, AWS, API, NACE • Ability to understand written work related documents, including engineered drawings and Bill of Materials. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. • Good verbal communication skills. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos in English

Inspector - 3Rd Shift
SUMMARY To inspect and document as required, first article, receiving, in-process, and finished production/prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to the quality assurance standards. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carryout assigned tasks. This is a THIRD shift position located in Stuart, Florida.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following * Able to apply knowledge of machine shop practice/procedures
Understand the basic concepts to lay out hardware to exacting tolerances and be capable of performing 100% dimensional inspection and measure dimensions such as angles, arcs, and radii of complex components and sub-assemblies.
Verify inspection equipment, machinery, and tools used are calibrated per company procedures.
Capable of locating datums and other gaging points on castings, forgings and all components.
Capable of marking guide lines and reference points used to indicate material which will be removed manually, by machining, or etching processes.
Accurately complete all quality documentation, such as inspection record sheets, quality plans and receiving inspection documents.
Initiate NMR documentation when parts are nonconforming per the Quality system.
Must have full working knowledge in the use of inspection tools and gages, such as scribes, vernier calipers, height gages, depth gages, micrometers, cylindrical plugs and thread gages, periphery or PI tapes, decimal scales, indicators, inspection fixtures, optical comparator, coordinate measuring machine and other manual/automated measuring devices.
Perform in-process and machine inspection on such equipment as vertical boring mills, radial drills, laser machines, water jet and lathes.
Perform bench dimensional inspection of machined rings, spinning, forgings, castings, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds prior to fluorescent penetrant testing, * Setup and try out inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.
Perform hardness checks of workpiece surfaces.
The ability to be responsible for assigned tasks and the authority to perform them.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The job has no supervisory responsibilities. However, the employee, under the supervision of the Department Supervisor, Quality Systems’ Manager, and/Quality Engineer, will assist in the training of other employees.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic computer skills are required. Knowledgeable in the use of “V” blocks, jo-blocks, knees, planer and thread gages.
LANGUAGE SKILLS * Must possess the ability read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, engineering blueprints, and be able to understand and apply GD&T; concepts.
Obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions from blueprints and engineering specs.
Posses the ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions from work instructions, process specifications, and direction of supervisor in completing a variety of inspection tasks.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees in the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms. Ability to deal with problems involving several concree variables in standardized situations.
