Responsibilities and duties:
· The successful candidate will be able to –
o create a cable/harness from a schematic, wire run list, assembly drawing
o create a wire run list
o design and lay out a harness assembly board
o perform point-to-point continuity checks
o operate electric, pneumatic, or manual crimping tools
o know how to identify good vs. bad crimps
· Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
· Perform all work in accordance with IPC-A-610 quality standards and established safety procedures
· Document assembly steps to maintain accurate job tracking records
· Shall be accountable for quality, quantity and inspection of work performed
· Assist co-workers as needed
· Other duties may be assigned
Knowledge of (not required but a plus):
· ISO / AS9100 practices
· Familiarity with Electro-Static Discharge precautions

Part of the ICBM mission is the capability of operating in a nuclear weapons environment produced by exo and endo-atmospheric nuclear detonations. TASC is looking to hire a capable engineer who can ensure that replacement parts meet MMIII hardness and survivability requirements. We are looking for engineers with backgrounds in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering as well as various disciplines of Physics. The candidates should have a clearance at or above a DoD Secret or a DOE L, and be capable of acquiring a DoD Top Secret Clearance. Job Description BAE Systems is looking for well-qualified professionals to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the readiness and sustainment of the USAF ICBM program. The ICBM System Program Office must ensure a safe, secure and reliable MM III weapon system as required by the war fighter (Air Force Global Strike Command) through 2030.
This contract augments organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs. Position is located at or near Hill AFB, Utah; however, remote site arrangements may be possible for a highly qualified candidate. This role will provide a combination of Nuclear Hardness related Electrical Engineering services.
The successful candidate will: 1. Provide mechanical / electrical / chemical and related engineering services. 2. Support Program Manager in the execution of their duties. 3.
Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex problems. 4. Provide technical leadership of all phases of design analysis, development, integration and implementation. 5. Be capable of determining independently the appropriate use of technologies in solving problems.
Responsibilities Include: 1. Supports Integrated Product Team efforts by contributing to systems engineering, electrical engineering, or logistical tasks. 2. Required Skills and Education
Required Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics, from an ABET accredited college/university
Required Experience: 15 years experience in Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) engineering in various aspects of system design, configuration control, hardness assurance, etc (a software emphasis is not acceptable; must be power systems, or electromagnetics, or other electrically-based or EM-based area). Experience with EMI / EMC / EMP mitigation.
Strong background in EMP coupling to systems, analysis of effects from burnout to upset and familiarity with MIL-STD-2169, - 188-125-1, -464, -461.
Obtain a U.S. Government security clearance during the first few months of employment (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite; a current clearance is preferred, but not required)
Must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative and an ability to organize daily tasks with little or no supervision
Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with customers, team members, external vendors, and various levels of management
Must have experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in and experience with Spice or Microcap or similar circuit modeling

- Conduct nuclear hardness & survivability analyses, tests, and design, with an emphasis on electrical/magnetic analysis of hardness problems + Ensure electromagnetic effects are considered in weapon system design, development, and sustainment + Analyze electromagnetic effects (MIL-STD-461, EMP, lightning, ESD, HPM), ionizing radiation (gamma, neutron, and x-ray), and mechanical effects + Apply electrical principles to wide range of problems, including power, controls, RF, and circuit analysis + Use simulation tools for electromagnetic and radiation analyses, including PSPICE, Microcap, MATLAB, and ANSYS modeling suites (or similar)
BS in electrical engineering or related degree and 5 years of experience in activities directly related to job duties described above (3 years with Masters)
Experience performing EM effects testing, planning, and report generation
