Wire Harness Design Engineer
The Wire Harness Design Engineer is responsible for Wire Data Design on Bell Helicopter's V-22 aircraft platform, utilizing Capital Harness Systems (Mentor Graphics) and/or CATIA SCHEMA. This position is located at Bell Helicopter' Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.
Wire Data Design on the V-22 platform, utilizing Capital Harness Systems (Mentor Graphics) and/or CATIA SCHEMA.
Tasks include Wiring Diagram design from conceptual design to final design, including architecture and point-to-point diagrams.
Development of Engineering Drawings, of Wiring Diagrams, Architecture, and Wire Harnesses including Notes List, Parts List, and Equipment List.
ENOVIA document creation, route creation, and document release.
Read and understand Wiring Diagrams, System Architecture, Equipment Lists, Parts List, Component Data Sheets and related Engineering documents.
Coordinate with other groups and disciplines including Wire Installation, Airframe, Fluid Systems, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – or similar technical discipline preferred or equal experience will be considered.
At least 2 years related experience and demonstrated proficiency.
Knowledge of Wire Harness construction required. 2000 hours' experience in Capital Harness Systems (Mentor Graphics and/or the CATIA SCHEMA Module) is preferred.
A minimum 3000 hours' experience in CATIA V4 or V5, with CATIA V6 preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel is required.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Knowledge of V-22 Aircraft Platform is preferred.

The candidate must have a NCCER certification for operating a 50-Ton rough terrain crane or any NCCER crane certification and be able to attain a 50-Ton rough terrain certification with NCCER.
Must be able to sit for an extended period of time inside the crane cabin.
