Magic Hat - Fork Lift/Packaging Operator
Born in the early days of Vermont's craft brewing history, Magic Hat has been making beer in the Burlington, VT area since 1994. We've made a name for ourselves through odd notions, elaborate elixirs and a solid commitment to our employees and to our great state of Vermont. To support our whims and obligations, we're continuously investing and growing our brewery. We've recently installed a new canning line to increase our capacity and give customers more of what they are asking for. Interested in joining our team? Read below for more info on our open Warehouse/Operator Utility position!
Getting beer to all our consumers means a lot of work getting supplies in and product out of our Brewery. We are looking for someone with experience on a fork lift to help us keep the flow of in and outbound deliveries moving and organized in our somewhat limited warehouse. You would perform a variety of tasks from receiving trucks, to delivering pallets of supplies to various production lines, to shipping finished goods out the door and everything in between, including helping out the Production Team occasionally. We are looking for someone to work 1st shift from either 6am to 2:30pm or 7am to 3:30pm, 5 days a week, but flexibility is required as producing beer is sometimes unpredictable and we do work some overtime and weekends, on occasion.
Making exceptional beer can be extremely rewarding but not necessarily glamorous! This position is physical in nature and therefore requires the ability to: lift of up to 55 lbs occasionally; be on your feet or moving around for your entire shift; and do repetitive work for extended periods of time. The work environment includes working around machinery, handling hazardous materials and exposure to high noise levels.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Familiarity with the brewing industry
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience driving a forklift
Attention to detail
Flexibility and interest in doing whatever task is assigned
Experience with computer programs (Microsoft Office, etc.) and willingness to learn new programs
All our jobs come with awesome benefits, competitive pay, including a quarterly bonus opportunity, generous paid time off and of course, free beer (for those who are over 21!). Job offers are contingent on physical, background check, and hair drug test (it's OK that you smoked marijuana that one time
Magic Hat Retail Clerk - Artifactorian
Born in the early days of Vermont's craft brewing history, Magic Hat has been making beer in the Burlington, VT area since 1994. We've made a name for ourselves through odd notions, elaborate elixirs and a solid commitment to our employees and to our great state of Vermont. As we continue to evolve our whims and grow our brand, we've started selling full pints and savory eats in the Artifactory and we need people to serve them!
Our Bartenders (or Artifactorians as we like to call them) are responsible for providing an overall amazing experience to the visitors of our Artifactory bar and retail store at the Magic Hat Brewery. This includes providing excellent customer service, tours of the facility, selling merchandise, and working at the bar and in the limited kitchen.
Since this isn't your typical bar and retail store, we are not looking for your typical candidate. Standard retail and food service experience, like customer service, cash handling, food prep and delivery, and merchandising skills are a plus.
But, more important than being able to fold shirts neatly, candidates should be true beer geeks who like talking to people and selling our amazing brews. We want to hire people who love our brand and want to help others love it too!
We expect to offer roughly 20 hours a week - the more availability you have, the more we can schedule you. This role will start immediately and continue through our very busy summer season and beyond - this is not intended to be a summer job. Candidates must have a flexible schedule that includes availability to work most weekends in addition to weekdays.
Our job offers are contingent on background check, hair drug test (it's OK that you smoked marijuana that one time
