Perform duties to participate in a group involved in the set up and operation of the Flat Stock machine and Shear to produce sheets of flat stock and pieces sheared to produce accessories. The parts are associated with the installation of metal insulated panels. The operator will perform within the limitations of standard methods and procedures for safety and quality. The position has a potential for growth in the knowledge of the Jorns folder and texture coat processes.
Demonstrates proficiency in the technical aspects of the trim parts from drawing which include loading, setup, QC and troubleshooting.
Demonstrates proficiency in the operation and controls of the Flat stock machine as related to the operation, adjustment, setup, and control of the raw material as it flows through.
Demonstrates proficiency in the operation Shear which includes adjustment, setup, control of the hydraulics, control panel, material guides and parts tables.
Monitors operation to detect defects such as calculations for trim measurements and lengths paint pick, scratches, edge wave, paint color of the metal..
Performs any line operations to maintain work flow. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.
Machine Operator For Nursery Stock
Hours: Full-time Seasonal, working 40-60 hours per week, weather permitting, Saturdays required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Load/unload nursey stock and hardscape stock from delivery vehicles and trailers with or without the aid of a machinery.
- Keep product maintained and stacked, good housekeeping is a must and accuracy is required.
- Operate skid / track steer, excavators, front end loaders, fork lifts, and street sweeper.
- Demonstrate safe and proper procedures for operating and using machinery at all time.
