This job description indicates the nature of production work routinely performed by a production employee at the Smithfield - Tar Heel Plant. This description is meant to help individuals who may be unfamiliar with food processing and what is required to perform this type of work.
Production employees are routinely required to perform a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, machinery and other equipment. Body Interior Seat Sign-Off Engineer
Lead seat design verification deliverables for program milestones
Manage team actions including DV planning, sample availability, lab scheduling, pre-test paperwork, and post-test assessments
Operate with exceptional integrity to deliver Global Product Development System (GPDS) gateway/milestones on time to established acceptance criteria
Determine program content that impacts seat DV by using Structured Assumptions Language Template (SALT) and Product Direction Letter (PDL) documents and cross-functional review.
Establish robust but efficient seat DV plans and set up electronic Design Verification System according to those DV plans.
Maintain accurate test complete timing & issue definition for each test.
Lead daily meetings to align Seat & Restraint Engineering with Test Operations
Create pre-test documentation in Electronic Management System and Unauthorized Technology software systems
Resolve and/or elevate all issues that jeopardize program sign-off.
Assess sign-off requirements for seat DV on time and with appropriate data
Work with Core Engineering and Test Operations to correlate requirements to customer needs, improve test method accuracy and efficiency, and support analytical tool development.
Bachelors' degree in engineering from an accredited school.

Fitters read, interpret, plan and execute from drawings and procedures.
Fitters measure, cut, grind, fit, align and tack weld parts as small as your finger nail to the large sub-assemblies and super lifts that form the structural body of the ship.
Fitters build in-place all interior structures, hatches, doors, bulkheads, etc., to complete all the steel work in the ship.
A fitter will apply their skills in the shops, platens, dry-docks and onboard ships in support of new construction, ship repair and ship overhauls.

The Gas Combination Welder Fitter is a Journeyman Gasman certified to weld steel pipes that are part of the gas distribution system (i.e. lower pressure gas pipes). Perform any of the duties in, Construction, Service, and/or Pressure Regulation. The Employee must be able to operate company vehicles to respond to and maintain the Company system. We are looking for more than one Service Fitter B for our Rifle Service Center.
Operate company vehicles and special equipment. (ie. hydrotamp,boom truck, backhoe , chain digger, bucket trucks forklift, etc....)
Operate and maintain tapping equipment on cast iron, steel, PE, PVC.
Verify location of all underground obstruction.
Install and maintain all different types of gas services and mains, steel, PE, PVC, CAB and Aldyl-a.
Must have a High School or equivalent education.
Completion of either a four (4) year apprenticeship program or a three (3) year apprenticeship with one year (1) year in specialist-in -training program or equivalent.
Must have a valid CDL drivers license for the state of Colorado.
Have knowledge of the following is required: 1. Shoring 2. National/State/Local codes that relate to gas utilization. 3.Haz Comm 4. DOT Part 192 Pipeline Safety. 5. Confined Space 6. Barricade and traffic control. 7. Gas Condensate handling procedures. 8. Safety.
Must reside within 30 miles and 30 minutes of the Rifle Service Center.

Step 2 Selection Process:
9.Please allow a couple of weeks for assessment results and applications to be reviewed. You will be notified if you are selected for an interview.
10. If you are not selected for an interview, you will receive notice that the hiring leader has chosen to go with another candidate.
11. If you do not successfully complete the assessment, you are eligible to re-take it after 6 months.
Steps in Xcel Energy's hiring process
All qualified candidates will be sent an online assessment via e-mail. Applicants must successfully pass in order to be further considered.
Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will be contacted to come in for an information session and interview.
After attending our information session/interview, our Team Leaders will collaborate to decide which candidates are best qualified and offers will be made.
Candidates who accept the employment offer will be required to pass Xcel Energy's background check and drug test. This process can take up to two weeks before clearance is issued.
After successful passing of the background check and drug test, candidates are ready to start the training class.
