Responsibilities and Duties:
Execute custom garment alterations for lululemon guests (i.e. hemming/cropping, repairs, liner alterations, etc.) expediting projects when necessary
Utilize design skills and creativity to accommodate special guest requests and create on-brand design solutions
Provide exceptional guest experience surrounding the hemming and alterations process
Support retail team (in the fitting room area) in accurate garment pinning and prepping for alterations as well as on-going training on what the Joinery can and cannot accommodate
Leverage product resources to elevate technical product knowledge
Engage in monthly product walkthroughs
Analyze design feedback, conduct design research and development, digitally record alteration details
Complete weekly fit sessions to ensure they remain connected to the six f's (fit, fabric, function, fun, feel and features) and designer's intention of the product
Maintain proper machine maintenance, tools and supplies
Attend monthly Joinery team meetings and store specific staff meetings
Personal development through the practice of vision and goal setting

At least one year of professional experience in sewing/tailoring

Industrial Sewing Machine Operator
Job Type: Full Time M-F Two Shifts available: 6:00am-2:00pm/2:00pm-10:00pm
K.E.M. Resources is looking for individuals who can work independently with little or no supervision. The position requires applicants to be flexible with hours when overtime is necessary to meet customer deadlines; primarily in our peak season, however may occur at any time during the year. We prefer at least 1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing setting.
This position requires excellent skills in keeping and moving product parts along at a steady pace. Able to understand and be involved in making decisions regarding quality is important. Being multilingual is a strong asset. This person should be able to lift to 50 lbs. Must have the flexibility to lean over. Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for filling customer orders in an accurate, productive and safe manner while operating material handling equipment. Experience in a manufacturing environment, a plus. Handling automatic and manual sewing machines. Industrial sewing experience required. Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa). Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality work.

It is the primary responsibility of the Seamer to repair, alter and measure garments for all uniformed employees, and perform duties for hotel guests when requested. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.
Measures and fits all garments on employees pertaining to property standards.
Completes daily sewing assignments and pressing of garments.
Maintains records of sizing, fitting and alteration information for each employee.
Communicates policies and procedures pertaining to uniform requirements to employees.
Repairs items to extend service of item where practical.
Maintains order and efficiency in work area.
Creates and updates employee records on computerized system.
Pulls employee uniforms as needed from stock.
Performs inventory on sewing and pressing equipment as defined in the operating manual.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least two (2) years of experience in the alteration of all garments types.
